Hello :) I’m going back to Uni tomorrow, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to post on this blog for a while. I’ll try my best to get some things done to post, but Uni this year is going to have to come first 📚 See you soon :D

Getting the stripes to line up was way harder than I anticipated, lol, but tada! Thinking about giving him a bowtie to make the blue stripe for his neck stand out more.

Made a “very hungry caterpillar” patch, now we know why he was so hungry! by the-lank-
Started another project yesterday afternoon and have finished it today! I’ve made a crochet bandanna / headscarf from a pattern found in Inside Crochet, Volume 149. I’m pretty pleased with it.
I did stray slightly from the pattern, as I didn’t have the correct weighted wool / yarn available. I ended up making bigger squares with the wool I had, using a 5mm crochet hook instead of a 3.5mm one. A bit of improvisation was needed when it came to the border, as I wanted something a little different from the pattern. I decided to create a border using fans, and then finally created the fastenings using both single and double crochet stitches (or double and treble stitches).
This small project also got me using British crochet terms, which is funny because I’m from the UK but learnt how to crochet via American media. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be to translate, and this was made easier through the UK Terms vs US Terms grid at the back of the magazine!
P.S. A bee thought he would join in on the last picture 🐝
Hello! :) Finally managed to get some more crocheting done! Today is my day off from Uni, so I thought I’d sit outside and do some work on the crochet waistcoat for my gran. This is the back so far, I’m pleased with how it’s looking at the minute :) ft a cheeky pic of a daffodil 🌼 Glad spring is on its way!
Update 02/08/22:
I have now completed this project! My Gran loved it, which I was very happy about!
Below are some pictures of the finished project. I tried a way of designing the fastenings that differed from the ones on my waistcoat, which I actually prefer and think look a lot neater. Done using both single and double crochet stitches!

just some simple florals for Spring 💐 by jadeillustrates
Hello! Recently I have made some gifts for my mum’s friend who is expecting a baby. Following YouTube tutorials, I have made her a pair of pink shoes and a lilac cardigan! I’m really pleased with how they look.
The shoes have been made following a pattern suited for a 3-6 month old, and the cardigan was made to suit a 6-12 month old. Though I followed the pattern, I do feel like the sleeves of the cardigan look really big.
^ Above is a picture of the cardigan and shoes together. Proud of how they have turned out!

I would love to make some more baby clothing items following these patterns again. I will also be finishing the waistcoat for my gran this summer, so I will post some more pictures of that soon! :)

Hello! ✨ It’s been a while, but I’ve finally found some time to do some more crocheting and embroidery - I’m so glad that I’m able to do some more! :) Uni has been so busy this term, so I haven’t really done much since September!
I’m working on a few new projects recently, including crocheting a waistcoat for my Gran, and (even though I’m not the best at it) embroidering my jeans :) I also have two upcoming projects planned for some friends of mine, so that should be fun! Fingers crossed next term isn’t as jam-packed, though I think it will be lol …
I’m going to post updates on what I’m doing / making just for fun, so if anyone sees them I hope you like them haha :D
So … I’ve had Covid over the past week :/ I’ve not been able to do any of my planned projects, which I’m quite annoyed about - but I guess it couldn’t be helped! I’ll try and get some things done, both for my own sake (I think I’ll go mad if I don’t get something done haha), and also so I have content for here! :)
