The Single Mingle - find single creatives to collaborate with. The Young Creative Council are at D&AD New Blood and this is one of the events they will be running.

Details about the networking events taking place at Artsmart have just been released.

Reboot is a cooperative platform investing in people and their ideas, with the aim to establish fertile ground for socially minded projects to flourish.

The If You Could exhibition aimed to provide a platform for the finest creatives from all over the world to question their conventional working methods and outcomes. The contributors were challenged to produce something a little unexpected, by working with a partner of their choosing from any discipline, profession or background. Further advice from Hannah is to remember that you already have a network - your peers, people you work with - so you are already networking, as long as you keep talking to people and letting them know what you do. This doesn't have to be at formal networking events. There are always opportunities around you to meet new people, share ideas and contacts.

"Collaborate. You may be a nerd used to writing/illustrating/coding in your bedroom. Fine, but don’t be a control freak. Because most projects require some collaboration. If you can’t share your creations, they will most likely remain stillborn."

Advice on the UAL Creative Living website about building your networks.

"There is a difference, however, between participation (you create a situation/have a proposition and invite people to take part in it), and collaboration (something that emerges together from a group of people, always built together)"
