🌸 when we collaborate, candy elle makes shit better.
🌸 a conversation with candy elle has absolutely changed how a project turned out; it happens all the time, like when mintberry needed a plus model for the daytime line and jessie handled the fits but candy elle picked the textures and styles that made shit work; she even helped with the mintberry night shoot after sugarplum release.

Who are your favorite people to be around?
The People I Cherish
There’s a few specific energy types that draw me to people. A spark that’s rooted in authenticity and openness. I absolutely love being around those people who are genuinely open-minded. You know the ones who accept differences that aren’t choices or are choices and are not harmful. They meet diversity with curiosity, not judgment.…
Hi india, hope you're doing great. If you remember, in one of my previous asks, I asked you about fandom moments, its okay if you don't. Firstly, thank you for such a well thought answer.
Today I would like to ask you about one specific thing that you mentioned. And if it feels something personal or something you won't like talking about, I would understand so no pressures to answer.
You mentioned calling up each other in the night if something crazy happened, or celebrating when bua dropped. Additionally, i don't know if you have seen this or not, but I saw someone on tumblr, I forgot their name, helped Gina get tickets for Harry's concerts, also @satelliteloooveeee is going with Gina and someone helped with tickets. Its absolutely beautiful and so amazing to see what you guys have built here and I love it for you. I would just like to ask, that did you guys already knew each other irl or over time, you built that community, friendship and trust and got to know each other ? (Feel free to not answer this one if its too personal)
What I mainly wanted to ask is, that as an introvert, and someone who has no irl directioner/harrie friends, this is one thing that I feel like I am missing out on. I have no one to talk to or celebrate this kind of stuff with (but i appreciate you guys, because atleast I can be here), so if you could share any advice or any tips to better connect/network or find some people on here (to yap about fandom), i would be very thankful. I mean learning this skill would help me in general as well.😂 (if it feels unrelated to your blog content, you may reply me directly or if it feels something you aren't sure about answering, you could let me know that as well)
Hello, love ❤️ I’m sorry this took me a bit to get to, I had quite an unexpectedly busy weekend.
The short answer is yes, all the friendships I currently have in fandom were made exclusively in fandom. I didn’t (and still don’t) know anyone IRL who’s also in fandom, regardless of how open I am in real life about fandom, fic, and Larry (and I have gotten much more open over the years).
I know people had different approaches, but my personal experience was specifically centered through fic writing. A couple of people had reached out to me when a big blog recommended my first fic and invited me to join GCs (they were more popular than Discord at the time), and I reached out to a few people to be my beta through the Beta/Cheerleader Lists that used to accompany every Fic Fest I joined.
I was lucky that through those collaborations, real, lasting friendships formed. I still can’t believe @twopoppies is in my life because I somehow gathered the courage to ask her (her! The Twopoppies!) if she’d be interested in making art for my Kinktober fic, of all things. 😂 But, there’s no real formula, I don’t think.
The face of fandom is very, very different now, and building trust is a much harder thing to do than it used to be. I’m afraid I don’t have much advice, as I’m also trying (and failing) to make friends in my new fandom. I do still think the easiest route is through a creative collaboration, whatever that might look like (offering to make art/mood boards for fics in fic fests, offering to beta/cheerlead for new writers, making playlists for underrated fics, etc) because it catapults you into a space where you can work and spend time together.
Unfortunately, I’m realizing, online friendships are a lot like online dating in that it’s just down to sheer dumb luck. You just have to keep putting yourself out there in hopes of hitting a gem, and maybe, with a lot of 🪄magic 🪄 you’ll stumble headfirst into one (or even two!) of the great loves of your life.

Our book "Pale Blue •" is a homage to both an iconic photograph and an iconic person. The photograph is the one showing planet Earth, taken on February 14, 1990, by the Voyager 1 space probe from a record distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles, 40.5 AU), as part of that day's Family Portrait series of images of the Solar System. This humbling view of Earth from 6.4 billion km away is known as the "Pale Blue Dot."
Planet Earth from 6.4 billion km away. NASA released this updated version of Voyager 1's famous "Pale Blue Dot" image of Earth on Feb. 13, 2020. The original was taken 30 years earlier, on Feb. 14, 1990.
The person is the astronomer Carl Sagan. In his 1994 book, "Pale Blue Dot", Carl Sagan comments on what he sees as the greater significance of the photograph.
"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us ... "
— Carl Sagan
YouTube video >> Carl Sagan - Pale Blue Dot carlsagandotcom [2009 / 3min.+27sec.]:
"Pale Blue •" is a symbolic trip from where humans are now, moving backwards to the origins of the Earth and showing how our relation with Nature has changed during this journey.
" ... There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."
— Carl Sagan
Earth's memories are stored within her strata. She talks to us through these records. But the information we have from Earth is incomplete, just as our memories are.
It is mankind's task to decode this information to better understand what Earth is trying to tell us. This story is part truth and part a creation of our mind. But what really matters is that this story tells us who we are and where we come from.
The history of Earth and ours are interlinked. Once oceans covered the entire planet and life rose out of them.
Our existence evolved from the oceans. However, nowadays we are moving away from Nature.
But this split is merely a human perspective; whether we want it or not, we are part of this whole.
We are but a little anecdote in the evolution of our planet and in our pride, we state that we are the ones destroying the planet. The truth is that by poisoning the oceans, the soil and the air, we are only destroying the human race.
Mother Earth has been without us for eons and she will go on. Earth is prepared to evolve and adapt in a way mankind cannot. There is only one way to stop this separation from our origins and it means to restore our relationship with the Oceans, the Earth and Nature as a whole.
Albarrán Cabrera
“Creation is eternal birth. A beginning without end. It happens in every instant of time. The same power which burns in the stars burns equally in us. Our being is a miracle, equal with the creation of the Universe, and like the universe, each day is created anew."
— Terrence Malick

Fine art photographers Anna Cabrera (b. 1969, Sevilla) and Angel Albarrán (b. 1969, Barcelona) have worked collaboratively since 1996. Their photographs explore various themes, including nature, existence, consciousness, memory, time, place, identity and perception — particularly in context with human-caused environmental degradation and humanity’s conflicted sense of integration within nature.
