He is known as Jeff the killer and not Jeff the bunny because nobody (but the only two people) who survived his attacks know he's a rabbit.

In a world where carnivore species and herbivore species conflict is present, nobody would think a rabbit would be commiting all these murders

He's not the threatened, he's the THREAT

People have an entire forum theorizing what species Jeff the killer is

Jeff himself is aware of this mocks them for suggesting every possible species but the right one, he'll either anonymously post fake hints or be silent

Jeff would say he is truly an alpha wolf at heart

During his kid/teen years he was heavily insecure about what he is, even tho he tried to hide it from Liu and others behind fake confidence, which worked most of the time until Liu wasn't buying it. He started questioning him but Jeff would just get upset and avoid the topic

Eventually he realized his species wasn't a big deal, and in fact it helped him lure victims who had it in their head bunnies are weak creatures

He truly doesn't have a preference target of species when it comes to victims or anything, but specially enjoys making any carnivore species terrified when he gets the chance.

His story is essentially the same as what we know except is more attached to my headcanon-ed version (which only diverts in so many things, like family from his dad being linked to wood carving, which he learned a lot about how to use knives from and his mother being the reason they had to move somewhere else)

In this version Randy, Keith and Troy didn't terrorize him for species reasons, they just picked on him and his brother for being new around. Plus they were fooled by Jeff's fake confidence so they decided to look for different weaknesses to exploit

He'd probably stab you if you were to ask if he loves carrots (No even as a hare he would eat anything healthy)

Ask him if he's a hare, bunny or rabbit, he will answer "wouldn't you like to know" (basically doesn't tell you shit)
