This is a very interesting read, yeah. Confirms a lot of what I already figured, which is that much like the idea of "It's the same Digital World in all shows", "It's the same Ryō in both the games and Tamers" is really more of an aspirational vibe that some creatives want to push than it is an actual sensible inter-series continuity.
Kinda like the Zelda Timeline.
