feeling too much like "i was looking for a job and i found a job and heaven knows im miserable"
rip celia st james you would've loved good luck babe by chappell roan
summer of 2023 will go down in history as the most happening time for sure
(i was rotting in my room the whole summer, but the little people on my little phone were doing tons of things and i had a lot of content to consume)
me to academia if i get an A on my thesis:
We can plant a memory garden
Say a solemn prayer, place a poppy in my hair
There's no morning glory, it was war, it wasn't fair
And we will never go back
To that bloodshed, crimson clover
The worst was over
My hand was the one you reached for
All throughout the Great War
Always remember
We're burned for better
I vowed I would always be yours
'Cause we survived the Great War
I GAVE MY BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS FOR THIS

do yall ever think about how Killing Eve would’ve been insanely popular on tumblr if it was about men instead
time to rewatch and post shit ton of content
okay im genuinely curious why ttpd is not getting the criticism it very well deserves like the whole album is just a big mess with sloppy writing and bad composition.
people are saying that this is what she needed to do and that this album is for herself and nobody else and i get that but if she really just wanted to let the so called "teenage angst" out she could've done it in a lowkey manner and just put out a surprise album and not make a big deal about it
the fact that she went above and beyond with the marketing and making it seem like this album has tons of poetry in it when in reality it is just a huge rant that she really should just talk to her therapist about and not put in album for everyone to hear
i actually firmly believe that she is just a business woman at this point like she really tries hard to come off as an artist who writes amazing stuff and does everything for the art but she's not. she is just in it for the money and that is being very clear by this huge marketing tactic that she pulled for ttpd
and don't even get me started on the problematic part of the whole album. the whole "without the racists" lyric was uncalled for and not needed at all, it just felt like she is compensating for something and was overall very performative. she is admitting to breaking up with joe because he was too depressed and is calling her partner a consolation prize like okay go off queen ignore mental health issues and all the efforts that have been put in creating awarness about it.
the whole album is about her acting like an annoying white woman with immense privilege whining about the one thing that didn't go right for her.
also i am not a kimk supporter but thank u aimee was so unnecessary, she is literally trying to bring up almost a decade old feud and is trying to gain sympathy. like yes kim did shady stuff but the whole thing has been cleared out and kim got what she deserved. taylor really did not have to go out of her way to diss her like this after so long.
this movie is art on it's own♡
i love it when filmmakers put so much thought and effort into every little detail
She told me,
A bit of madness is key
To give us new colors to see
Who knows where it will all lead us?
And that is why they need us.
So bring on your rebels
The ripples from pebbles
The painters, the poets, the plays
Here's to the fools who dream
For as crazy as they may seem
Here's to the hearts that break
Here's to the mess we make.
watched la la land for the first time and to say the least I AM OBSESSED

i have no idea how to grow on pinterest and increase my reach so if anyone has any tips lmk
also here's the link, would love it if you followed ♡
See what cheekks (chetnakularia) has discovered on Pinterest, the world's biggest collection of ideas.
nothing will ever mean so much than evelyn signing the letter she wrote to celia by writing edward and then crossing it off and writing her name because she has given up on hiding and being scared. the only thing mattered to her in the moment is to get the love of her life back and be with her and not caring what one person might think.
it is that defining moment almost every queer person go through. this right here is the reason why we are so loud and "in your face" about our sexuality because we have had to hide for so long that it has become a big weight weighing us down which we can't handle anymore, it's like a balloon that gets so full of air that it eventually bursts
it's funny to me how much ignorant straight people like to say that "oh it's so normal nowdays", "it's all okay you guys have what you want, you can stop being so loud about it" like no
we had to fight to get where we are whether it is global or personal we all had to fight our own battles to get where we are while risking it all, be it career, family, friends everything so no we will not "shut up".
reading about queer experiences (fictional or real) will never not make me sob and i am so fucking proud of everyone who despite all the hardships manages to live their life on their own terms and be their truest self
