gonna make an actual post about why i'm certain this carries over to the tv show but guys armand's parents didn't sell him. they loved him so so much they were so proud of him and it broke them to lose him. they made a shrine in his memory in their house and prayed every day that by some miracle their son was alive and safe. in tva armand's father kept running to save him after he had been shot twice with arrows and knocked off his horse because "they didn't get [him] in the legs." when he failed to save his son he was so consumed by grief he became a shell of himself and nearly drank himself to death.

If you hate Devil's Minion I suggest you block me now because I'm about to become the worst version of myself.
