I have been trying to hop for three weeks now and bought two different hoops, different weights and sizes, I have tried different techniques but I still can't hoop please help
hope you found some answers, i am sure you’ve watched multiple hooping videos on youtube... here’s my only words of advice
the type of hoop or size really just influences how fast you will have to push (back & forth or side-to-side) to keep it going... try counting “backfrontbackfront” while any hooper is hooping and you’ll see how the rhythm should go based on a certain hoop size.
if all else fails it’d be good to have someone watch you in person, or video yourself to see at what point the hoop is falling. In general you have to “push” in whatever direction the hoop starts to drop, to keep it up. If you notice in video that the hoop is bouncing around all over like crazy you will have to find a way to roll with it and keep it level. Remember the hoop has to move around a round surface just liek the inside shape of the hoop.
best of luck!
