Hey, hello everyone!
I'll fix this post here, probably.
This line will be dedicated to Sow and my little AU. Middle Ages. Yes... Quite a complex and serious topic for an artist (armor, wars, Geopolitics of kingdoms (there will be more of them than in the canon), etc.)
And so, it will be a guide (if it's fashionable to call it that), on this AU.
Some things will be added:
Lore of the world.
There will be more wars than two in history. I mean, during the story of the first season, there will already be several wars and conflicts between the kingdoms and other groups.
Also in addition to the Unyielding Legion (hereinafter TUL) There will be several more groups and individual rebels and bandit groups. Everyone has their own goals and positions. Not everyone will be unequivocally positive or negative. TUL seemed like a small business group to me. You order, pay 50%, we fulfill, you pay an additional 50%. Full 100%. As for me, TUL may have a dirty business, but they probably have their own requirements for their employees, which should make them reliable in the eyes of potential customers.
I also thought about adding more races, or at least better describing and showing the races that I managed to notice in the background in Sow. We were told about the race of the Grek and Grim, but there were others besides them.
And... I did not notice no one religion. If we have people in the Middle Ages, then there should have been a peak of religious fanaticism. Although it could have been specifically made by David, because there could have been conflicts on the topic of race, "racism" and other bad things that we condemn now. But back then, they were the norm (unfortunately). I will never support any of that. But still, if we're writing about the Middle Ages and emphasizing realism, then it has to be described.
Details:
Also about small details because of my logic. I made clothes for Ardoni. They would not wear human clothes. I've seen the clothes worn by the orcs in fantasy. Open, but at the same time clothing that is comfortable in battle. There is some kind of wildness in this, but at the same time primogeniture. The firstborns of Ardonia. They are peace-loving creatures who, alas, have become the center of two huge wars. I also decided to add more details to people's clothes. I mean Abbigale's pants. I remember the old story about Jeanne D'arc, who was burned at the stake (one of the reasons was that she wore men's clothing and there were other details). In any case, I hope you understand what I am getting at.
About ordinary peasants. All these farms reminded me of farms in the southern United States a few centuries ago. I think that if we take Europe, then the peasants did not have their own house, which only they owned. They had to have a master, like all slaves at that time. They would be a thing that could be exchanged for an expensive hunting dog.
As for the Abbigail family and who Finch will be to her, it will be a little later.
Well, that's all for now. Maybe I'll add something else here.
And my little playlist:
