I've been firing up the old ipod, which cannot be updated, and is therefore fixed in time (2011 or thereabouts). I'm putting all 11,284 tracks on shuffle for the evening and will post some videos of what comes up. Enjoy!
From the forthcoming album SAFE (25th Anniversary Edition)
SAFE was the last ever show performed by Clanjamfrie Theatre, devised in 1996. I created music and sounds for most of their shows from 1990 onwards, but SAFE was the only time I worked with the group on site. Rehearsals took place in the former Cannieburn Hospital. The performers worked in an old ward and I set up my studio in the Sluice room, arranging my gear around the stainless steel sinks! The forthcoming album SAFE (25th Anniversary Edition) is the first time all the music used in the show (and some that wasn't) has been gathered together in one edition. Newly remastered, the album features Vanessa Rigg playing viola on 3 tracks. Vanessa performed and played in the show, which is how we met and how, a few years later, pomegranate began.

New album out on Bandcamp...
New EP (with artwork by my 5 year old son).
The first guitar I owned was a cherry red Arbiter Flying V exactly like this one, bought on H.P. from McCormack’s music shop in Glasgow circa 1974/5. The hardships I had to endure to make the monthly payments on this guitar!
I was still at school and used to jam every Sunday with a couple of pals. On one occasion we were mucking around doing a 12 bar blues version of the Funeral March, when, eerily, my guitar popped out of its strap and landed on its head snapping a machine head in half. I wrote to Arbiter and they very kindly sent me a replacement.
Needless to say, we never played the Funeral March again.
With Stars Of The Lid, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Murcof and more
In which I appear with some hallowed company...
