sorry if this is like unsolicited advice but journaling is a really good practice that helped me immensely! and go in with 0 expectations, pick up a tattered notebook, used cheap whatever and jump in before you even think the thought "i'm going to begin journaling! this is self-love!" where it feels all monumental and romantic. even if you're bad with words or you're brainlessly doodling or staring at a blank page, you're still sitting with yourself you know! like we don't get a lot of opportunities in our lives to be completely, uninhibitedly honest with ourselves. slowly, we trust ourselves to look our feelings in the eye with less judgement, more kindness, and then you realize you don't have to be uncomfortable because it's just you! it's all you! and when that discomfort shifts to acceptance, i think the catharsis takes over in big big waves!!!
