uhh you don't have to answer! But thoughts on the tadc finale?
im barely getting to this now bc i waited for it to come out on youtube and my brains been exploding itself all summer but i really, really liked it for the most part. the first half that focuses on jax’s decline, her self hatred and how it effects others was genuinely touching and visceral as someone who has lost themselves trying to hide who they are. scared the fuck out of me tbh. the scene of her personas berating pomni and finally letting her in as she realized she doesn’t want to die was fantastic, i honestly can’t stop thinking about it
jax is hands down the most interesting/fleshed out character in the show, and her arcs conclusion was both satisfying and tragic which is commendable considering how poorly the caine stuff is handled. i don’t care for “ai can have feelings” sentiment and i don’t think caine is interesting when his ego is stripped away, i’d rather kinger reprogram him, or the circus members taking his role since they can warp their reality, or idk just actually died LOL
i liked that there’s no possibility of leaving the circus, and i liked that leeroy was still closeted in real life. jax/leeroy have already lit a fire under people’s asses to be who they really are or find some way to improve themselves which is what i believe goose set out to do with her story, the circus members acknowledging one day they WILL abstract and all they can do is enjoy their life and live like they want is how i’ve chosen to live my chud life since becoming an adult, so it resonated with me
overall, it’s like a 7/10 for me. i wish zooble had more spotlight to elaborate on their gender ideology and character as a whole, theyre my fav and i rlly enjoyed the short lived insight we got into their mind. i wish gangle and jax’s relationship was explored more SO BAD, #tbhtuesday i feel like jax could’ve been much more vindictive but seeing how people act like she’s just as evil as griffith or negan, yea nah
