Tomorrow, she will fly to Geneva and debrief the UN. The Petrova Taskforce will be disbanded — temporarily, at her recommendation (someone will have to recover the Beatles in 30 years time), but she suspects they won’t listen to her opinion. She will step out of the building, and a hundred different countries will want to arrest her, and she will let them.

She’ll go to France if she can. She’s heard they have tolerable prisons. And he screams like a terrified animal in her dreams. She is not cold-hearted by nature. With her directives fulfilled, it begins to thaw.

They will name dozens of extinction events after her. Law students will study her crimes. She will remain steadfast: she did nothing she regrets.
