Truthless Recluse has spent too many nights watching the Sage of Truth sleep before it claims him to know this as true. Even now, as his other half gently helps him pick up the broken glass from the floor, the Beast of Deceit wonders why. There’s an acrid statement on his tongue to push him away –

   and all Truthless Recluse does is swallow it, and let him help.

“Sorry,” he said instead; mindful of the shards. “Thank you.” another pause, as the Beast of Deceit then vanished the glass and took hold of the Sage of Truth’s hands, gently healing any nicks. “Be careful with glass. It can scar the dough if you’re not careful.”

Truthless Recluse ( after the Sage of Truth awakens ) doesn’t act any different than he did before. He’s still going to weave his manipulations and drag in as much despair and deceit in. He’s simply shifted his focus – he didn’t want the soul jam to be reunited to begin with, he was only doing this because it had been asked of him.

( specifically for your Sage ) Professor Vanilla Orchid Cookie has very little background on purpose. The cover story is that he was found whilst the Sage was travelling, and asked to come and teach at the academy. He has his own teaching assistant, but for the most part tends to keep to himself. Sage is the only cookie who can get him to be chatty.

He’s gotten to where he doesn’t really need blood as a daily basis. Maybe once in every 2-3 years. He’s pretty proud of this, as Siha ( and by extension, Fanilana ) doesn’t like being deemed a monster. It really fucked with him for a long time. ( v. bloodstalker )

The Shepherd of Knowledge at the end of the day loves cookiekind, and wants them to live happy, fulfilled lives. He simply doesn’t see that kind of ending for him, and is quite happy with being forgotten at the end of it. ( Similar to @/pinchofdeceit’s Fount )
