if you feel like a failure, you arenโt. you just need reminders that mistakes help you grow. they donโt define you or put you behind everyone else. there are endless new sunrises and opportunities for new beginnings. your past doesnโt define your future and you can always change into the person you want to be.
if you struggle with criticism, youโre not โtoo sensitiveโ. youโre a soft soul who is trying their best and thatโs not a bad thing. remember that most of the time itโs not personal. if the criticism isnโt constructive the person doesnโt deserve your attention. no doubt that your sensitive trait helps you be more compassionate and thatโs beautiful.
if you feel lost, you are not. every day youโre growing and changing towards something even if you canโt see it. you are where youโre meant to be and you can change where you want to go. the future is scary but today was scary yesterday but you did alright. itโs the same for next week or five years in the future. you donโt need to have it all figured out and everyone around you feels the same. just take it a day at a time, make some goals and enjoy the journey of finding yourself. and if something doesnโt feel right have the courage to pursue the path less taken.
if you feel stuck, you are not. you have more control over things than you think you do. you can always change yourself, surround yourself with kinder people, meet new friends, join new clubs, go on adventures, ask for professional help, break old habits, start jogging, take up art classes, wake up earlier, eat healthier or read more. itโs all in your hands and time is there for you if you learn how to manage it. there is always a way to change, thereโs always hope.
if you feel like youโre not good enough at a subject, you are, just maybe not yet. you need to believe in yourself - it does not matter if you donโt succeed at first. just do your best, practice a lot, even if itโs a few minutes per day, and the hard things become easier. youโre so intelligent but you donโt know that because youโve told yourself so many times that youโre just naturally bad at it.
if you feel like youโre unlovable or ugly, youโre not. youโre a beautiful person with a radiant smile and a big heart and you make so many people happy every day in moments, whether itโs a fleeting moment with a stranger, or longer times, like in your loved oneโs thoughts or in someoneโs happy memory of you. take care of yourself because like a flower, youโre prettiest when youโre healthy and happy.
if you feel alone, youโre not. many people know exactly how you feel right now and many people like you have made it through. one day someone will come into your life when you least expect it and love you for you. being alone right now does not mean you will be alone forever. not everyone is the type to play mind games and hurt you then leave. you will find someone who will brighten your life so much they will make up for all the lonely times, whether in a coffee shop or at your new job or in the rain.

Ingredients
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 Granny Smith apples
3 oz. dark chocolate, roughly chopped
2 tbsp walnuts, chopped
2 tbsp cashews, chopped
1 tbsp mini dark chocolate chips
Instructions
Wash the apples and pat dry with a paper towel. Use a tablespoon or melon baller to cut out small rounds from the apples. Place into a bowl with the lemon juice and enough cold water to cover. Set aside.
Melt the chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave and stir until smooth.
Prepare a long sheet of wax paper on the counter. Drain the apple pieces and pat dry. Use a toothpick to dip the apple pieces into the melted chocolate. Place onto the wax paper. Sprinkle with toppings of choice. Repeat with remaining apples. If desired, place into the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.

push yourself to get up before the rest of the world - start with 7am, then 6am, then 5:30am. go to the nearest hill with a big coat and a scarf and watch the sun rise. 2. push yourself to fall asleep earlier - start with 11pm, then 10pm, then 9pm. wake up in the morning feeling re-energized and comfortable. 3. erase processed food from your diet. start with no lollies, chips, biscuits, then erase pasta, rice, cereal, then bread. use the rule that if a child couldnโt identify what was in it, you donโt eat it. 4. get into the habit of cooking yourself a beautiful breakfast. fry tomatoes and mushrooms in real butter and garlic, fry an egg, slice up a fresh avocado and squirt way too much lemon on it. sit and eat it and do nothing else. 5. stretch. start by reaching for the sky as hard as you can, then trying to touch your toes. roll your head. stretch your fingers. stretch everything. 6. buy a 1L water bottle. start with pushing yourself to drink the whole thing in a day, then try drinking it twice. 7. buy a beautiful diary and a beautiful black pen. write down everything you do, including dinner dates, appointments, assignments, coffees, what you need to do that day. no detail is too small. 8. strip your bed of your sheets and empty your underwear draw into the washing machine. put a massive scoop of scented fabric softener in there and wash. make your bed in full. 9. organise your room. fold all your clothes (and bag what you donโt want), clean your mirror, your laptop, vacuum the floor. light a beautiful candle. 10. have a luxurious shower with your favourite music playing. wash your hair, scrub your body, brush your teeth. lather your whole body in moisturiser, get familiar with the part between your toes, your inner thighs, the back of your neck. 11. push yourself to go for a walk. take your headphones, go to the beach and walk. smile at strangers walking the other way and be surprised how many smile back. bring your dog and observe the dogโs behaviour. realise you can learn from your dog. 12. message old friends with personal jokes. reminisce. suggest a catch up soon, even if you donโt follow through. push yourself to follow through. 14. think long and hard about what interests you. crime? sex? boarding school? long-forgotten romance etiquette? find a book about it and read it. there is a book about literally everything. 15. become the person you would ideally fall in love with. let cars merge into your lane when driving. pay double for parking tickets and leave a second one in the machine. stick your tongue out at babies. compliment people on their cute clothes. challenge yourself to not ridicule anyone for a whole day. then two. then a week. walk with a straight posture. look people in the eye. ask people about their story. talk to acquaintances so they become friends. 16. lie in the sunshine. daydream about the life you would lead if failure wasnโt a thing. open your eyes. take small steps to make it happen for you.
