RoyaleInstinct AU: Runaway Rich Boy
Adam Towers was raised in luxury.
His parents, both wealthy by blood and circumstance, gave him just about everything he wanted no questions asked. This got boring as he reached his teenage years, leaving little room for rebellion, and as he reached college age he got most of his pleasure from seducing silly little idiots who he wanted nothing to do with.
He was bored with getting everything and everyone he wanted.
Which was why when his parents came to tell him they were arranging his marriage to the daughter of a business partner he laughed in their faces. They threatened to cut him off financially, and attempted to discipline the son they’d let run wild his entire life.
So Adam did the only thing he could do.
It was simple to distract from where he might really be going, buying tickets to places he’d never go and using up as much money as he could. He ended up in Argentina, tucked away with a wealthy older man named Cristoph who he despised but let him freely do what he pleased if gave himself in return.
Yes it was boring, but it was freedom he might not have much longer and he got Cristoph to leave him everything in his will.
The old man cared very little for what Adam did, and called him his ‘perfect angel.’
He’d bring Adam to all the parties with his rich friends, show him off, and they’d spend most nights apart after a quick dissatisfying fuck. Adam would occasionally check on his parents, their search for him, and kept his true name to himself.
That was until he walked into one of Cristoph’s parties and was introduced to Jean Duran.
Cristoph introduced Jean to Adam as, “LeChiffre”, but called him also “Mr. Number.” He joked that LeChiffre could make anyone rich with even the littlest amount of money. The obvious distain in LeChiffre’s eyes as Cristoph spoke to him made Adam almost smile.
It seemed no one like the old man.
He introduced Adam as 'Frederick,’ and the curve of LeChiffre’s eyebrow was way more attractive than it should be above his strange eye.
“You do not seem like a Frederick,” he purred, his gaze traveling up and down Adam with obvious interest.
Adam felt eyes on him the rest of the night, catching LeChiffre several times not even bothering to look away. He didn’t need this man interested in him. Cristoph was an easy get, left Adam to his own whims, and someone like “Mr. Number” would not be so forthcoming.
Men like that had their own motives.
He broke off from Cristoph before the night was over to go out to the balcony for a breath, knowing he would not be alone for long. A moment later the door behind him opened just as Adam pulled out a cigarette.
“I’m shocked it took you so long.”
Adam lit his cigarette and blew out smoke, staring into the night.
“Your name is not Frederick.”
“I have reasons for not giving my name to strangers,” he purred, smirking at him, “Especially one as strange as you, Mister LeChiffre.”
“My name is Jean Duran, a name few people know that aren’t looking to put me in prison.”
“Why are you telling me this? You know fuck all about me, Mister Duran. I could be an undercover policeman.”
“No undercover cops are as beautiful as you are, nor are they as desperate.”
Adam blushed, looking away again and taking another drag blowing out smoke. “Flattery won’t work on me.”
“I suppose not, but if you’re looking for protection and money…I can provide both.”
“As long as I let you fuck me?”
“Not until you’re ready,” Jean said, making Adam look at him again, “I am not into paying for sex, but the idea of you going home tonight with that old man makes me ill.”
Adam felt a sudden urge to be sick thinking about touching Cristoph again.
“I don’t know anything about you,” he whispered, looking down as Jean’s hand came to rest over his on the balcony rung, “Other than your first name and that you’re rich.”
He shivered as he entwined their fingers together. “Don’t you want to know about why I’m using a fake name? Why I’m…”
Adam met his eyes. “What will you give me?”
“I’m not that bloody interesting,” he laughed, shaking his head, “I…”
Jean’s hand came under his chin and made Adam meet his eyes again.
“Yes, or no, Mister…Frederick?”
“Adam,” he said stupidly, not sure why, “It’s…Adam.”
Jean smiled. “Adam….yes….or no?”
A finger brushed over his lips and he let out a breath. “I’ll take good care of you, I promise.”
