TL;DR - I AM CONFUSED, BUT ACCEPTING OF CANON SOURCES

Alright, so what I've gathered and seen with my own eyes from this is that Edward is straight, and felt no romantic interest towards Oswald. However, there are multiple scenes that are indicative of some sort of dependency and obsession, but seriously, the serenading scene is a huge flag for something. I know I'm like eons late, but there was so much built up and shit, and it was openly talked about in promotional videos posted on the literal official YouTube channel. It technically isn't queerbaiting, in TECHNICAL terms, but no one can ignore the obvious pieces of the show where certain things were implied in Edward's opinion and perception in Oswald that got thrown away. The characters were inconsistent with what they said, and the inconsistencies weren't acknowledged as part of their character, it was a flaw in the writing. From my understanding, there were writers on the show that wanted to carry things out, and others that didn't, neither is bad obviously, but I think just all of these scenes that showed clear romantic chemistry and clear lack thereof got mixed in. The actors are the ones in control of their characters overall, their minds and appearances literally bring those characters on paper to life, and I respect that completely. It's just weird to see so many convoluted things around this ship.
