hey y'all i don't talk much about demon slayer on here but i am going to now bc i am here to provide all of u with a headcanon of mine, featuring some uzui x rengoku content because i love them
anyway i hand everyone the headcanon that rengoku always ends up being the person who has to take care of uzui when he's sick because he's the only one who will voluntarily do it, everyone knows about how overdramatic uzui is when he gets sick so they're all backing away slowly every time it happens.
in addition, i think that uzui would, at first, be the type of person who would insist that he's fine and can function perfectly well, but once he's finally forced to go back to bed he's all like "KYOJURO I'M DYING :((" every two minutes. to top it all off, bro does not sleep because he acts like if he closes his eyes he'll never open them again.

during the first week of being handcuffed together, due to extreme tiredness and lack of common sense, one time light tried to push L down a few stairs after being made to go downstairs with him to get more sweets at 4am for about the thirtieth time that night. this attempt ended up sending them both tumbling down two extra flights of stairs rather than three little steps like light originally intended. both of them were so glad that they were the only ones awake at that time because they knew that they would never be able to live that down if anyone else was downstairs.

omg omg i'm so glad you enjoyed reading through it !! as for the answer to your question, i imagine that L would enjoy writing anything with a lot of suspense and a compelling story to keep the audience thoroughly engaged and on their toes. his favourites to write are complex mysteries and he's also dabbled in a bit of psychological horror, both including quite a few unexpected plot twists so that the audience will continue to remain interested in what's to come in the performance. he puts in a LOT of research while writing in order to analyze what makes good plot twists and general components of his favourite genres to write, doing so by reading and watching the best stories and scripts, but also picking through a lot of garbage so he's always completely 100% on what not to do as well.

hands all of you the headcanon that L gets between 20-40% more british than normal at random times during the day sometimes, especially when he's frustrated with something / someone and no one knows what he's talking about when he starts using british slang ... except light, who mainly just picks up when L's trying to insult him under his breath. L only realized light knew when he muttered "so what i've been able to deduce here today is that kira seems to enjoy acting like a right wanker at every chance that he's given." only to be met with a "first of all, i'm STILL not kira, and second, what'd you just call me??" from light.

okay so we all know that the rain scene is emotionally damaging as shit ( at least to me ) but at least during the foot scene afterwards, although i am inevitably still bawling like a baby, i have a little something to numb the pain and that is the way that when L picks up light's foot he looks so fascinated by it like he's never seen a foot before in his life, despite the fact that he has his own grippers out all the time.
okay this is a lil different from my incorrect quote posting but i had this au in my head based on a headcanon i have and i have a lot of feelings about it so we're gonna talk about it. so, what would happen if we threw all the death note characters in a drama class together ? the answer is pure chaos and hilarity.
character + role rundown :
light - actor, all or at least most of his roles are usually super unhinged, everyone agrees his performance is amazing but they're all slightly terrified of him when he gets up onstage. not nearly as unhinged in real life though, and quite a bit more chill than in canon.
L - writer and casting director, instead of doing preexisting plays / scenes, he writes all original stories for the group to perform. writes certain characters specifically for light and mello because they're his People. is actually also a pretty good actor but prefers just to do it during quick readthroughs and while helping the rest of the group run through lines rather than being up onstage.
misa - costume designer and set artist. this girl is the QUEEN of aesthetics and can very quickly come up with ideas for exactly how the set and costumes should look just based on the tone of the script that she's given. she's very good at editing and making revisions of her designs after both reading the script herself, as well as watching a couple runthroughs of it. very bubbly and creative.
ryuk & rem - lighting and sound, respectively. ryuk should not be allowed in the lighting booth because he basically does whatever he wants to do with it during every rehearsal just to spice it up and make it more interesting but no one trusts him enough to be in charge of anything else so ... lighting it is. rem on the other hand follows the rules of sound to a t. she's always on the ball and knows what she needs to play and when. also, it's important to note that despite the lack of death notes, these two are still shinigami in this au and no one questions it.
near - props master, in charge of making or buying everyone's props and making sure they have them when they need them. sometimes he spaces out and ends up playing with a prop or two himself, and either L or misa will have to give him a poke mid-scene to remind him to go put said props where they're supposed to be during rehearsal.
mello - actor, he holds quite a bit of passion and conviction out of character, and it most certainly carries over onstage. he's not the best with staying calm if he messes up a line, misses a cue, etc. because he's kind of a perfectionist, so even during first rehearsals after only just being given the script, there tends to be a lot of yelling going on and consolidation needed if he does something wrong.
soichiro - drama teacher, this group stresses him out SO much because of all the chaos they cause but he's trying his best </3
matsuda, aizawa, mogi, etc. - additional actors because we can't just have two.
random headcanons :
– light, L and misa are all best friends and make a great team working on stuff for the class together.
– light tried to convince L to get into acting for actual performances while they were going over scenes together in their spare time because of how much L put into how he performed during their runthrough.
– everyone acknowledges that there's something 💅💅 going on between light and L ... except for light and L. after every scene runthrough, at least one of them receives "are you sure you're not attracted to him–?" and despite the fact that they both deny it, they are in fact attracted to each other.
– misa has tried to set the two of them up on multiple occasions to no avail, but she'll get there eventually <3
– speaking of misa, she's a lesbian and dating rem. she used to have some comphet for light but she's over it and now they're besties.
– misa and L have a bet going on regarding how they think soichiro's gonna quit, because they both think he's going to. misa thinks it's gonna be because the group is just generally too chaotic for his sanity to hold on and L thinks it'll be because he keeps having light play some wackjob and he nails it every time
– L's writing coupled with light's acting is starting to make everyone think that if he doesn't make it big as a pro actor, he'll just end up being a serial killer ( they're right, it just happens in a different timeline than this one :D )
– soichiro has had to talk to L about maybe not casting light as the most unhinged character in the script every time he writes something new for the group to perform. L says he'll consider it, but really he's going to make the characters even worse on purpose because a) watching light act like a total nutcase is both incredibly entertaining and attractive, and b) he has a bet against misa to win

Mikasa Ackerman was awoken to the sound of her girlfriend's voice whispering to her at about three in the morning. As she sleepily opened her eyes, she turned around to face her in the bed beside her own.
"Hm–? What is it, love–?" She asked, trying to internally prepare herself for whatever it may be this time. She was fairly used to Sasha's three a.m. rambles at this point, and as much as she sometimes wished that it could wait and the two of them could go back to sleep, Mikasa simply learned to accept it and let Sasha talk for a while.
"Do you ever just think that… spoons?" Sasha whispered back. This was often the kind of question that her girlfriend could expect to hear from her this late at night. Sasha's late-night thoughts were often nonsensical and incoherent, yet Mikasa still opted to humour her. She was happy as long as Sasha was, and if letting her babble on about nothing in particular at three in the morning put a smile on her face, then Mikasa had no problem with it.
"Do– do I ever think that spoons?" Mikasa asked in turn. The question tonight was certainly one that confused her slightly more than others, but she would be lying if she were to say that she was uninterested in where this conversation would go.
"Yeah, you know, sometimes… spoons." Sasha continued on with a small shrug. Even she didn't know what she was talking about right now. That tended to happen a lot, but once she had even the most random of thoughts in her head, she had to express them one way or another.
"Okay, yes, spoons. Let's say I did think about them, but what about them?"
"I dunno, they're just so metallic and shiny and… spoony!" Sasha exclaimed with the silliest of grins on her face. "You can do so much stuff with 'em, like eating with 'em or making a spoon pyramid or playin' the drums on a table…" she continued to ramble while her girlfriend listened. "They're just kinda fun to think about, y'know?"
That got a soft chuckle out of Mikasa. "Yes, I suppose they are fun to think about. I've never really thought of them like that before, but you've enlightened me." She said as a warm smile crossed her lips.
"See? Spoons are the best!" Sasha continued on, that same silly grin still on her face. Soon after, she rested her head back on her pillow, getting ready to return to sleep. "Okaaaayyyy, that's all I wanted to say. Night, Mikasaaaaa, I hope you sleep well and continue to think about spoons…" she quickly trailed off, and just like that, she was already back to sleep.
"I'll be sure to give it some thought," Mikasa joked in return, shutting her eyes and drifting off as well. As much as she sometimes wished Sasha's ramblings could take place at three p.m. rather than three a.m, these were memories that she could never have created with any other person, and ones that she couldn't ever forget, even if she wanted to.
