𝙎𝙃𝙀𝙀𝙎𝙃 !    where  has  this  kid  been  the  last  several  years  of  his  career ?    talk  about  some  positive  publicity .    and  she  hasn’t  tried  to  shoot  him  yet ,    which  automatically  puts  her  ahead  of  the  vast  majority  of  his  previous  𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼  𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 - 𝘂𝗽𝘀 .    pretty  much  all  of  them ,    actually .

except  groot .    groot  never  tried  to  kill  him .    peter  misses  groot .

and  now ,    they  seem  pretty  interested  in  shooting  peter ,    too .

in  the  back  of  his  head ,    peter  registers  that  this  guy  is  𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗬  𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 .    he  strolled  up  on  one  of  the  skeeziest  bars  in  town        ⸻         right  after  a  big  flarking  explosion ,    to  boot         ⸻         like  he  was  𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴  𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼  𝗮  𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆  𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻 .    

so ,    yeah .    pete’s  not  trying  to  make  enemies  with  the  guy  off  the  bat ,    at  least  until  he  can  get  brand  to  tell  him  who  he  is .    cue  peter  quill ,    𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 - 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 ,    𝙗𝙪𝙩  𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨  𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙣 - 𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 .

still ,    for  a  bunch  of  𝘽𝘼𝘿  𝙂𝙐𝙔𝙎 ,    there  are  some  not - so - bad  guys  in  the  building  this  dude  is  heading  towards  on  a  warpath .         〝        any  chance  you’ll  reconsider  whatever  you’re  about  to  do  to  whoever  you’re  about  to  do  it  to ?    call  it  a  favor .        〞        in  case  peter  needed  any  more  show  of  his  absolute  lack  of  a  self - preservation  instinct ,    the  hero - turned - bartender  slips  off  of  the  railing  he’d  been  hanging  out  on  and  ventures  closer  to  the  stranger .
