“Have you ever thought of running away?” You asked social elite!Ten who was busy with sipping on his wine.

The two of you were in one of his family villas in Frankfurt, attending a social gathering some close family friend threw.

He hummed, “I never really thought it through in all honesty.”

You sighed at his response, maybe you were too adamant to escape this way of living. But you can’t stand living in a place where your bank account is the measure of respect.

“I see.” You nodded while pouring yourself some wine. “I do like the idea of settling into a place where no ones knows me. Maybe, I’ll change my name too. Only a person could ever dream.”

“Maybe, you could make it into a reality, (y/n).” Ten said as he sets his wine glass in front of him.

“Captain!” One of his crew members called in panic, making him look in their direction. “We’re under attack!”

The sound of the loud cannons were heard, waking him up from his reverie.

“Load the cannons!” He ordered as he went on the deck, steering the ship as far as possible to prevent further damage.

As much as he created distance, the other ship only tailed on him which made him pissed at their persistence.

“Liu Yangyang!” A voice from above hollered, a pistol in their hand aimed at his direction. “I know you have my treasure. Hand it over and no blood shall be shed.”

He lets out a smug smirk, “Captain (l/n), I see that you’re still fiery as ever.”

“Give me the Black Pearl or I’ll put a bullet in your head.”

You slowly walked towards him with slow footsteps, doing as he instructed but alas, the book on your head fell to your feet.

You sighed whilst picking up the book, “I thought this was an easy lesson but I can’t seem to get it right.”

He walks towards your direction and puts the book back on your head and beams a smile in your direction.

“On the count of three, we make a run for it. We need to get back before the gates close.” Lucas whispers to you.

You faced him, “Is it safe? It might still be hunting for us.”

“Trust me on this.”

Holding up his fingers, he starts counting and on the last count. Running without looking back while he navigates through the maze until you see light from a distant.

“Lucas, it’s closing! We won’t make it in time!” You exclaimed, your lungs burning as you ran.

“Keep on running, don’t give up! We’re almost there!’’

The audience gave him a standing ovation as the curtains were drawn. You stood outside the auditorium, blowing unto your hands to keep them warm.

Then you felt someone drape their thick coat on your shoulder. “You should’ve worn thicker clothes, (y/n).”

“Why hello there, dear. Where do you want to go? It’s your special day after all.” You greeted as you nuzzled against Taeil’s embrace.

He lets out a grin, “How about we go by the docks? Maybe, treat me to some seafood?”

Hand-in-hand, the two of you walked away from the auditorium as you are determined to make Taeil happy on his day.

“Isn’t today a good day, m’lady?” Prince!Hendery asked, lowering the reins to let Ebony drink.

You looked to the direction of the voice, “It certainly isn’t. What brings you here?”

“Took Ebony for a walk. Now, tell me, princess. What are you doing here? Your mother would be very cross once she finds out, you went out again.”

You stood up from your spot, lifting your gown to prevent it from getting drenched. “She can’t contain me forever just to make me follow old customs. I’d like to go on an adventure before I get married to a god awful prince.”

“You never were to follow rules, princess.” He chuckled before hoisting himself up and offers a hand in your direction.

There’s so much stuff that’s happening amidst this pandemic. Too much to be exact but there are a few that took the cake. First, the murder of Georg Floyd and other black men and women in the hands of law enforcement. Lastly, this ‘ terror bill’ that’s going to be passed in our country.

For all my non-Filipino followers and audience, I’ll give you a brief insight of the said bill. Here’s a link that I saw regarding the terror bill if you want a more in depth information. (some important info)

The “Anti Terror Bill of 2020” is a strengthened bill in comparison to the current anti terrorism bill of 2007 which according to DND Sec. Delfin Lorenzana is “ineffective in warding off anything external forces that threatens the country’s safety”. It gives the government the power to authorize law enforcement and military to detain someone without warrant of arrest. So to put it simply, the government has the right to kill anyone whom they think is a “terrorist”.

This is a serious issue and everyone should be concern because, any activities that fits “terrorism” or any act that provokes the government will be labelled as terrorism. Unfortunately, activisim will now be seen as terrorism if this bill is passed. This violates OUR rights especially our right to freedom of speech. It is stated in the Constitution specifically in Article II: Bill of rights that “no law should amend freedom of speech” and others. As of now, the Senate and Congress has already approved of this and the President has labelled this as a priority. Once this is signed, it will be dangerous once this is already a law. THIS BILL WILL LITERALLY FORCE US TO STAY SILENT AND SQUANDER OUR RIGHT TO SPEAK UP EVEN IF THE GOVERNMENT IS WRONG.

They’ve already red flagged and traced numerous accounts that have spoken against this bill. An advocate leader has been killed after the bill has been passed. This says a lot, this is already an abuse of power. I, no longer feel safe in expressing my disapproval about this bill, in fear of being red flagged and arrested by law enforcers. Democracy is dead and our country will be doomed.

IMAGINE LIVING IN YOUR COUNTRY AND NOT BEING ABLE TO HAVE THE FREEDOM TO SPEAK AND CRITICS ARE FORCED TO BE SILENCED. YOU DON’T FEEL SAFE BECAUSE YOU MIGHT GET ARRESTED FOR SPEAKING. JUST THINK OF IT, BEING ARRESTED JUST BECAUSE YOU USED YOUR VOICE AND YOU’RE ALSO DETAINED WITHOUT ANY WARRANT AND THE CHANCE OF BEING IN RECLUSION PERPETUA (Lifetime imprisonment) IS HIGH? We can’t rally because of quarantine but the government took this opportunity to pass this bill instead of conducting mass testing and contact tracing to solve covid.

We all are trying to have it rejected by mass emailing the government’s email, you can join us in this fight by educating everyone, spreading awareness, using your voice and being one with us in mass emailing in hopes of the rejection of this bill.
