every time i think i’ve figured it out the universe is like ;-) no baby

i’ve met a lot of people during my time online and many of us have grown apart but i still think of them frequently and wonder what they’re up to and hope they’re no longer facing the same demons they once did

You gotta understand that some people never really grow. They never learn their lesson. They never recognise their mistakes, they never acknowledge their faults, they never admit they were in the wrong. You will never receive an apology from them, and you will never see their behaviour change.

And that’s ok. Not because it doesn’t matter - sometimes those people are your family and that hurts like hell I know - but because their behavior is not a reflection of who you are or how you’ve treated them. If they won’t grow and apologize then you’re better off without them so let them and all that hurt go.
