you don't have to medically transition and it's kind of cool and edgy and more radical anyway if you don't. don't take hormones, don't pursue surgery, don't pursue electrolysis, don't assert bodily autonomy

you don't have to socially transition, you don't owe anyone a performance. don't change your behavior, don't act different, keep doing what's expected, be normal

you don't have to use new pronouns or a new name or even tell anyone. if you're in the closet, stay in the closet.

Huntress Wizard’s age has been something that’s bothered me and other fans for a while now, and when Fionna and Cake season 2 announced she would be a main focus I was hoping we would finally get a clear answer.

However, the show did not seem to directly say anything, which left me feeling a little disappointed, until I looked closer at her flashback segments and realized they did in fact show us she’s Finn’s age without directly telling us.

The main points of comparisons are Princess Bubblegum and Marceline. We’ve seen them as kids and they’re thousands of years old so seeing a character as a child doesn’t mean they’re not immortal or super old. What I failed to realize is that they were kids during, or right after the Mushroom War, while Huntress Wizard’s backstory after closer inspection is very clearly set in modern day Ooo.

First of all, there are no humans, Huntress Wizard was found in a forest and adopted by these tiny gnome creatures, who seem to have been around for a long time. Mutants and magical creatures didn’t start showing up until well after the war.

Of course there’s Evergreen, but Evergreen’s time period doesn’t look like anything close to the world shown in Huntress Wizards flashbacks

Plus, the only living things at that time were dinosaurs and the original 4 elements, mutants didn’t start appearing until well after the mushroom war, and Huntress Wizard seems to be some kind of plant mutant. Yes she’s a wizard but she chose to learn magic, she wasn’t born with it

Second, we can see there’s some kind of society or city. The first post war society was the candy kingdom, and the world looked much different then

Also there’s no toxic waste at all in HW’s flashback, again meaning the mushroom war is long over

If this is Wizard City then that would be even more proof, since Wizard City was likely established well after the Candy Kingdom, but the fact that there’s established societies at all alongside mutants proves this is modern day Ooo

There’s also the parallels between Huntress Wizard and Finn’s backstories. Usually in fiction if you want to show two events are happening simultaneously you give them parallels to hint towards that
