First off, I am aware of the formatting issues. Theres like 3 chapters specifically that are pretty bad😬 the weed chapter specifically makes me CRINGE I know exactly which sections you're referring to lmao

That's why I announced the rewrite honestly. I've already fixed chapter 1 as much as I wanted to, but I'm planning on going back and fixing 2-7 still.

Theres also a few continuity errors that I want to fix. Like I lowkey forgot how I had developed beth and jerry, so they kinda reverted in character. And the Eve vs Evan thing is new.

Ive been working on this for almost 2 years (a few months before I even posted the first chapter), so theres a noticeable skill gap between the 1st and 2nd arc. I want to go back and smooth that gap over.

That being said, I am going through a lot this year. Im not going to be getting chapters out as fast as I would like to, especially because now im holding this fic to a MUCH higher quality.

Before it was just a silly fanfic because it was fun. Now im basically treating it as practice for my first book.

For me specifically, ao3 is a way to try different ideas and themes. I didn't really care about formatting until the fic became a big deal. If that makes sense.

The CFI community is lovely, so I've been trying to give y'all better formatting and writing recently.

The rewrite is not my biggest concern at the moment. I am actively working on both CFI and the S9 oneshot, and im very excited for both. I just also need to learn to take things slower and balance out my personal life.

Chapters will probably be released every other month or so.

Im not offended or anything by this ask!! but I do feel like I should say this for future reference.

Please dont give ao3 (or fanfic authors in general) unsolicited advice. I know you're coming from a good place. I understand where you're coming from, because you're not the only person that has brought that up and I do completely agree.

But generally, its seen as disrespectful within the fanwork community. I personally don't mind because im trying to write my own books. But most fic authors, including in my close circle, are writing primarily for themselves. Fanworks are a gift to the community. Unless the author asks for criticism, you shouldn't give it.
