She carefully cuts him a slice of cake. “Don’t get crumbs on my desk.”

“I won’t, I promise! I’m very responsible.”

“Oh, well, Tonks made this for me – with Ted’s help, of course. It was originally just beads and candy wrappers and little bits and bobs on a string, but Ted put a spell on it so it won’t fall apart or get damaged.” She touched the handmade necklace that hung around her neck and smiled. “It might be my favorite birthday present, ever.”

“Without a single doubt. Do you want some?”

“I’ve been looking forward to eating birthday cake for weeks.”

“It’s sweet. He and Amelia are such a lovely couple, they’re good for each other. It really brings me back to when Ted and I got married.”

“We really do. She’s too young to be spending all of her time at work.”

She looks up as the waiter sets her new drink down, and slides a galleon into his hand. “Just keep them coming.” He nods and walks back into the crowd. She takes a large drink from her glass and turns to Edgar.

“How many lesbians do you two know, that I don’t already know?”

“I’m so proud.”

“I’m so proud.”

“Charles did look so handsome.”

“Now that that’s Charles finally sorted, I get to focus all of my attention on Amelia.”

“Now everyone is going to want to set me up,” she mutters staring into her glass. “It’s not just going to be Sarah and Edgar anymore. Mom, Dad, I’m sure Charles will want to set me up with some sweet muggle girl.” She sighs before downing her glass and turning to one of the waiters for another drink.
