Bruce Wayne/Diana Prince - Looking Beyond

This one I could not get out of my own head. Bruce and Diana standing on the Southern grounds of Themyscira after putting behind their roles as superheroes. It's set after the prologue of the Batman Beyond episode "Rebirth" and before the main events of the actual series itself.

Batman did have health issues obviously and he went against his morals pointing a gun at some punk, leading to his abandonment in crime fighting in Batman Beyond "Rebirth." Not to mention losing Wayne Enterprises to Derek powers...yeah that greedy ass boss.

In Wonder Woman's case, her mission as ambassador of Themyscira ended after the World Assembly and United Nations couldn't see eye-to-eye with the Amazons. And Diana and Hippolyta hid their island from the entire world as a result...save for a few friends and family.

One year later, Bruce Wayne gazes and broods at the horizon, knowing that Gotham is calling for Batman to come out...despite the fact he cannot help without risking his health or crossing a line. Diana noticed this and probably knows one day somebody might seek the cave and the cowl. To which Bruce says, "My subconscious will disagree."

Batman/Wonder Woman - Weight Of The Battle

SUPERMAN: Diana?

BATMAN: She took the most from Mongul.

WONDER WOMAN: Let me guess. I’m not fine.

BATMAN: Very much.

WONDER WOMAN: But I can heal fast.

BATMAN: I know.

This piece directly interprets the aftermath of the Justice League Unlimited episode "For The Man Who Has Everything." After a brutal confrontation with Mongul (who, in my headcanon, was beheaded by Draaga of Warworld to the Trinity's dismay (yes, the Black Mercy was abducted)), the Trinity picks up the pieces on an emotional and physical level.

However, Wonder Woman is severely wounded. Her ribs cracked and bruises all over her body. Batman steps into a protective role and carries her back to the Invisible Jet and travel back to the Watchtower II to be taken care of. Behind them, Superman watches his allies depart as he reflects on the toll of the Black Mercy and the life he had to leave behind.

This becomes a turning point in Bruce and Diana's relationship in some ways since it shows that Bruce is committing to the well-being of a respected colleague he cared for beneath the cowl. Although, like Superman, Batman will soon have to reflect on the Black Mercy's affects on himself and see his true heart's desire.

Batman (Bruce)/Wonder Woman (Diana) 2011: Quiet After The Storm

Batman and Wonder Woman stand near the edge of the beach of Themyscira, observing the ocean beyond the island while enjoying the quiet beach, after a tough battle on the island itself against Hades.

Conceptually, I sort of had an idea where Wonder Woman was forced to confront her heritage with Hades alone, who obviously is Diana's father. And she had to get her husband to come along only for backup. But Batman ends up being dragged into the situation when Hades mocks him for how alike they are. And even though Batman acknowledges this, he calls him out directly. "...there's a damn good reason why she never acknowledges you as her father. You would only see her as a pawn you would throw away to take advantage of Hippolyta. Cry me a river."

Bruce Wayne was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.

The DCAU Trinity (Post-Near Apocalypse Of '09)

The Near Apocalypse of '09 left the entirety of Earth at its lowest point. Many families were torn, much of the old guard had stood down, and half of the JLU was eliminated (including Hawkgirl (she dies in my headcanon, leading John to raise Rex himself), A.R.G.U.S. and the Watchtower II), and everything has changed for better or worse. But despite this, everyone rose up against Ra's al Ghul, the Society of Shadows, and his four horsemen and brought an end to them all, inspired by Superman's leadership, Batman's tactical thinking, Wonder Woman's endurance, and Talia al Ghul's bravery.

Superman, Batman (still a part-timer), and Wonder Woman (with a new armor) still stand tall and continue as the League's trinity even after the apocalypse which was brought upon them. As they continue to lead the Justice League, new heroes came in to continue forth the very team that was born to save their planet and others beyond it. Until, of course, Superman had to go out across the galaxy to search for Starro. And Batman and Wonder Woman both stood down from the Justice League, seeing as Batman nearly broke his moral code and Wonder Woman's mission as ambassador of Themyscira ended in a bittersweet note. And the two would settle down for a normal life together before Terry McGinnis comes about.

Wonder Woman (Vampire)

I know that Halloween was far behind us but, while scrolling through DeviantArt, I found an AI generated piece of Wonder Woman as a vampire, done by @darkthunder1.

When first seeing the piece, it was conceptually amazing but execution in terms of the style and details left a lot to be desired. So I thought redoing it from the ground up while maintaining darkthunder1's vision of this piece would be the best idea.

Based on the original character model sheet and inspired by the DCAU-art style by Bruce Timm. Also remade from the aforementioned AI art by darkthunder1 embedded in the original DeviantArt post.

Justice League (Late 2005 - 2009)

My own version of the main Justice League members (post-ROTJ flashback/pre-Near Apocalypse Of '09). Although Wonder Woman remains the same as she looked in Justice League VS. The Fatal Five, Superman and the rest of the League updated their suits to give themselves a more classic approach.

Superman (inspired by the Silver Age/Christopher Reeve era), Batman (a hybrid of the JLU/B:TAS suits), and Hawkgirl (inspired by the original design, the Justice Lord, and 2025 versions) were redesigned by me. You will find them on my profile. I also did the redesigns of Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter (inspired a little from the CO2E/Doom design), and the Flash (inspired by all his DCAU looks, partially including Watchtower Database's Legacies Of The DCAU 2019 look) but I don't have character model designs of them at the moment.

Inspired by Bruce Timm's DCAU art style, one of the most influential out there.

Batman/Wonder Woman - You Are Loved

WONDER WOMAN: "You're not alone. You never were. And you are loved."

Yet another Wonderbat piece. A close-up illustration of Wonder Woman holding Batman in a tight, protective embrace within the dark, confined space of the Invisible Jet's cockpit.

Batman (Bruce Wayne) is completely surrendered, his frame slumping against Diana. Tears track visibly down his cheek beneath the cowl, reflecting years of emotional exhaustion and pain (post-ROTJ trauma). His eyes are closed, granting himself the first true rest in years. Wonder Woman (Diana) clings to him, her eyes closed and wet with tears, sharing the immense weight of his emotional burden. The Golden Lasso of Truth, loosely looped around them, glows brightly, its light pulsing between them like a shared heartbeat as their souls, memories, burdens, and hearts are together. They have accepted one another—shadow, light, and burden—making a full commitment that changes their lives forever.

The DCAU-style is originally done by DC legend Bruce Timm.

Batman (Bruce)/Wonder Woman (Diana): 2011 A.D.

Since many of you guys loved my Wonderbat pieces, I thought I would do another one here. Batman and Wonder Woman, two life-mates, still working together in the Justice League and fighting outside of Gotham together, two years after the Near Apocalypse Of '09 and eight years before the incident that caused Bruce Wayne to quit being Batman forever.

Wonder Woman created new armor to replace the one she wore since the battle with the Imperium. Batman would still serve at a part-time member. But given his physical conditions (which canonically explains the final Batsuit as seen here) and some battles in-and-out of the cowl in Gotham, he could not be as present as he would be in the League's first five years. Though his personal relationship with Diana remained strong for nearly a decade, as the two reside in the Wayne Manor as their home and Themyscira as their sanctuary.

Inspired by Bruce Timm's DCAU art style and Watchtower Database take on Wonder Woman from the Legacies Of The DCAU fan-comic. Even by the people behind the cancelled Batman: Immortal fanmade audio drama.

Batman/Wonder Woman - Let Me In

This animated piece is inspired by the DC Animated Universe, drawing inspiration from the iconic style of Bruce Timm. It captures a moment of raw vulnerability between two heroes who, despite a long history of friendship, are finally admitting their true feelings.

The artwork is a study in contrasts, with a bold, split-color background representing their disparate worlds. On the left, a deep blue collage of images from Batman's past—his family's tragedy, his personal demons, and the Joker's lasting mark on him, Batgirl, and Robin—visually embodies the darkness he carries. On the right, a warm, golden collage filled with images of hope, unity, and strength from Diana's life, and moments she shared with Bruce, symbolizes the light she offers.

The piece takes place in the moments immediately after their first kiss, which occurs in a scene I wrote. In that scene, Batman, consumed by his past trauma (including and especially the Joker's torture on Tim Drake/Robin), is confronted by Wonder Woman. He confesses his deepest fears with the aid of the Lasso of Truth, but she counters by asking him to trust in hope. And the two admit their love to each other, with Diana pleaing him to not only let her help carry his burden...but to let her into his life and his heart. In a silent act of surrender and relief, he accepts her. The Joker's laugh vanishes from his mind (for now), and they share a tearful kiss.

The central embrace in this piece is the heart of that scene. It's a quiet surrender and a plea for a shared future, a lifelong commitment. The title, "Let Me In," encapsulates the climactic point of Batman and Wonder Woman's relationship, leading to an unconditional romance that would forever change their lives (even through the events of Batman Beyond).

A Batman/Wonder Woman piece. It is more or less the same angle as Bruce and Diana when they were dancing at a banquet in the JL episode "Maid Of Honor." But here, circumstances are different.

Following their showdown with Vandal Savage, Batman and Wonder Woman leave the ruins of the destroyed castle, hoping to finish their dance. The two would walk from the ruins and hear something in the town: a radio playing "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong (an antithesis to "Am I Blue?" by Billie Holiday).

Superman/Lois Lane: Healing Embrace

This piece illustrates Superman and Lois Lane, still in her funeral attire, sharing a tender, heartfelt kiss. The kiss between the two is not only out of love but Lois Lane's crucial step in letting go of the grief she endured when Superman "died."

Her full acceptance in his miraculous return, embracing and reconciling with the man who miraculously returned to her and the grieving city of Metropolis.

Inspired by Justice League from the DCAU, specifically the episode "Hereafter." Bruce Timm's style was emulated for this piece. And in a way, it was visually inspired by a Batman/Wonder Woman piece that came out over a decade ago.

I tend to make more DCAU art pieces of my own with these iconic characters.

Superman And Lois (Hereafter's Aftermath, DCAU)

After seeing the Justice League episode "Hereafter", I was inspired to come up with a great many ideas concerning the fall out of Superman's presumed death and unapparent return from the future.

Chief among them is a scene at the Superman Memorial Park, where Superman and Lois would reunite. This piece means to showcase this bittersweet reunion between two lovebirds. What would happen if someone you knew came back when you know his death was real? How would you really feel inside and out about it? My intention for this piece is to show the psychological impact of Superman's "death" on Lois Lane.

Lois is undeniably overjoyed and relieved to see Superman alive and well but there is an underlying conflict in her. Superman's "death" in "Hereafter" felt so final and, while his miraculous return was a blessing, it brought lingering trauma of what she believed she had lost for good. It's this moment where happiness was mingled with a lingering ache of grief that she processed at his funeral.

Lois would be wearing the same black dress she wore at the funeral, but Superman would be in his iconic blue, red, and yellow suit instead of his poncho knight design seen in the second part of "Hereafter." That's because I thought he would have had himself cleaned up after Superman and the Justice League stopped Vandal Savage from creating his gravity altering weapon. Superman would have also publicly revealed his return after the fact, which was enough of a reason to get cleaned. Don't want to go into it too much. I wrote a full story covering this and hope to maybe bring it to life in some way.
