but *why* does graham always inch away from damon? i want to put him under a microscope like a bug

current thought is like. ok he’s all up in his own head and is very anxious to not ruin the friendship that they both feel they only have a slight grip on right. and i think they’re both unsure if the other wants to push this thing forward (or back haha get it 🙂😖) but damon is more um. reckless isn’t the right word but i think graham being withholding attracts him even more than if he were like Yeah let’s fuck. it’s like a challenge.. also damon just naturally doesn’t hold back physical affection and closeness from anyone to the point where *most* of the time i don’t think he thinks about it too much but graham is sometimes hyperaware of it all.

my basis for this is the numerous videos where they’re being sweet/flirty with each other and damon seems to be quite in the moment whereas graham clearly glances at the camera after the flirtation ends. of course no way to judge what is actually going on in a 12 second clip but hey this is My rpf. it’s less about pinpointing exact thoughts based on their facial expressions and more “this is a nice microcosm of a dynamic that i think they have even if it was a purely awkward yet mundane interaction” Anyways this is all stream of consciousness don’t hold me to it

graham seems to go through a lot of crazy cycles in how he feels about damon. when he says “i greatly admire him but he can also annoy me” i think that’s true but given the weird amount of emphasis he places on this kind of instability i wonder if he’s compartmentalizing their more unusual/extreme ups and downs as a thought that’s like Well sometimes your friends do things you don’t like. sometimes you’re on temporarily mad at them island. but that’s not the whole picture is it haha. no you were literally honeymooning in 2024 and now you’re. what? insulting him for no apparent reason on your instagram story? girl youre lowkey just a volatile and indecisive person who likes being mad
