My freshman is better than your freshman!

deuce asks for a notebook he forgot in alchemy. sebek asks for a dagger he left in one of the horse stables. jack asks for a specific kind of cacti with roses on it from the botanical garden.

yuu finds the notebook and the dagger— but they can't find a single cactus with roses on it. then, a painting in the hallway informs them of a secret elevator that can take yuu down below the school, where legend has it that you can find almost anything. what the painting didn't mention is that a cursed beast resides down there as well, one who imprisons anyone who dares to trespass in its domain...

the freshmen get worried after four whole pass with no sign of yuu, so they go looking for them. eventually, jack picks up yuu's scent and finds the secret elevator. the first-years go down into the school's basement and finds yuu in a prison cell, shivering from the cold.

the beast appears, and they all try to fight it off, but to no avail.

however, jack soon realizes that the beast can only take one prisoner at a time as per the stipulations of its curse, and offers to take yuu's place. the first-years try to talk him out of it, but jack has made up his mind.

(everyone else's dorms would miss them terribly if they disappeared— but jack can't imagine ruggie, leona, or anybody else in savanaclaw shedding any tears for him.)

the freshmen cry, beg, and barter, but the beast handily teleports them out of its realm, leaving jack standing there alone.

Visit to the East side Mystery's S shop~ chibi edit

Yes... I never edited (redrew...yes I redrew them all...my lazy b**t) so many chibi... GG the game team staff, for real!

A little side event idea for my Twst staff AU!

Sam brought the staff to the East branch of Mystery’s Shop S, and I really wanted to make a chibi sd sprite edit for this idea (never animating them....such a nightmare....guh)

I imagined them in outfits inspired by Asian fashion elements, but still with my own AU style and little details... hope that is ok!

It is mostly just for fun because I liked the image in my head and fashioooon....and fashion yes!!

I really enjoy putting the staff in other settings like this, outside of their usual place. We need more staff content damnit!

Sam: "Welcome, gentlemen. Today, Mystery’s Shop S is taking a little trip to the East branch."

Vargas: "Hah! A new place, new people, and new energy! I like it already more people to admire my muscles!"

Trein: "I only hope this journey will remain dignified and reasonably calm... Will I find the reliqua I was searching for."

Crewel: "STAY! Do try not to embarrass yourselves. We are representing the shop, not a traveling circus."

Crowley: "As expected of me, I shall naturally bring grace, charm, and prestige to this visit, oh oh oh oh I am but so yasashii"

Reigen: Uh… Mob’s brother!! Long time no see! Please wait Mob’s brother!

Ritsu: Don’t call me that! I’ve told you before!

Reigen thinks: Wow he looks mean.

Reigen: Ah, it’s been so long I’ve forgotten. Don’t look so angry! Are you on your way to Mob’s office right now?

Ritsu: There’s nothing going on over there today, so why don’t you go on your own?

Reigen: Liar! This is the way to the office…

Ritsu: I’m going to a place near the office. I’m just passing by, stop following me. 

Reigen: No, wait for me!

Caption: There’s a noise behind Ritsu. He turns around the see Reigen on his knees, the caption says he looks unsteady. 

Ritsu: ……? 

Ritsu: What just happened? Did you fall over while walking?

Reigen: N…No. It’s because it’s been so long since I saw Mr. Kageyama and I was so excited that I forgot about this injury I got in gym class today. 

Reigen: But it’s no big deal, lets go to the office first. Mob has a first aid kit over there….. No wait, actually, I have to go to the store first, so I might be late.

Can you tell mob for me? 

Ritsu stretches his hand towards him.

Reigen: huh?

Reigen thinks: eh? Why is his expression….

Ritsu waves his fingers

Reigen: WHOAAA!!!

Ritsu: Ugh, you are so much trouble. You shouldn’t be walking on that, it’ll make it worse. Were you were hoping to find someone to carry you along the way?

Reigen: Umm…. I….

Ritsu: I’m going to take you just this once. You can stay like that for a bit.  

Reigen: Thank you

So…. since I’m floating, I can move through the air like I’m swimming? Can I try it?

Ritsu: NO YOU MAY NOT.

Mob: Arataka!! Are…Are you really okay?

Reigen: Yeah I’m fine.

Reigen: It’s a good thing I met your brother on my way here. With his help, I got to the office without much trouble.

Mob: Ritsu? 

Reigen: Yeah, but when we arrived at the office, he remembered that he had to take care of some stuff, so he left.

Mob: Huh… that’s unusual. 

Reigen: Eh? Why’s that?

Mob: Ritsu only comes to the office when he’s scheduled to come in for a specific task. 

Even if he’s doing something nearby, he would’ve never come here unless I reached out to him before hand.

Reigen: Eh?…. I see

Kind of a confusing comic. It’s not really made clear, but I think the implication is that Ritsu went out of his way to help Reigen when he normally would not, and he’s not the heartless bastard that he’s often made out to be in this AU.

A few disclaimers:

This list ONLY covers what occurs in the main story, not in events or vignettes (since those aren’t necessarily canonical to the main story’s timeline + I don’t have time to check his dialogue over hundreds of vignettes and 20+ events). Therefore, this technically isn’t a comprehensive list.

Some points brought up aren’t necessarily “heinous” but are vague enough to potentially be perceived as suspicious.

Some points may seem suspicious, but also have alternate reasoning which is much less suspicious. I will bring up these counterpoints in parentheses.

Just because Crowley has done these things doesn’t mean he doesn’t have redeeming traits or that he hasn’t done good or kind things in other instances. (This seems like a dumb point to bring up, but I really feel like I have to since Crowley hate has become commonly “acceptable” in the fandom 😅)

And with those disclaimers out of the way, here’s what I could find on Crowley and his sus behaviors in the main story:

I headcanon that Sebek has such strong younger brother energy that he manages to get all the housewardens and second-years into treating him like their younger sibling. It’s wasn’t intentional, it just happened.

Sebek is in the Equestrian club with Riddle and was inspired to join by Riddle, despite his fear of horses. Riddle oversaw his development and lessons, and ended up being the one getting him into dressage. Now, he’s at every competition making notes of Sebek’s mistakes so they can improve after and congratulating him when he does well or learns something new. Riddle is also inviting him to Unbirthday parties since Sebek has somehow helped Deuce and Ace bring up their grades.

Sebek, being friends with Jack, sometimes goes over to Savannaclaw to train and runs into Leona. They don’t get along at first with Sebek disliking Leona’s insults towards Malleus and Leona finding Sebek loud and too straight-laced. However, Sebek is pretty good and spelldrive and overall physically strong, and Leona at his core loves a challenge. It’s also nice to play Spelldrive when your Diasomnia opponent isn’t a Magical Nuke.

Azul finds Sebek amusing with how gullible the first-year is and how easy it is to manipulate him but he doesn’t go as far as to trick Sebek the way he does with others. Part of it is how quick Malleus, Lilia, and Silver would be after him but the other is how Sebek had fallen into a habit of cooking with Jade and Floyd. It was by accident but seeking to improve his own skills and save his dorm from Lilia’s cooking, Sebek started to take lessons from Jade and Floyd in return for helping them out during dinner rush. He came to enjoy it so much that the twins gave him a permanent place in the kitchen and Jade even dragged him to go mushroom foraging.

Sebek being part crocodile-fae means he’s so sensitive to the cold and Diasomnia with its stone walls and the occasional storms, means it’s constantly cold. Sometimes he ends up in Scarabia, napping on fine rugs and a pile of pillows while Kalim and the first years study around him, and occasionally looking at his notes. Jamil always makes the point of making fresh, hot chai during these sessions and ensuring there is warm naan and curry for when they’re done and Sebek wakes up.

Vil admires Sebek’s determination and constant pursuit to be better and laments that had Sebek not gone to Diasomnia, he would have been a great addition in Pomefiore. When Epel started getting his fellow first-years into trying skin care, mainly to show them how annoying and time consuming it was, Sebek stated he enjoyed how it felt on his scales. Rook, overhearing this, reported to Vil who sent Epel with a personalize set suitable for crocodile faes and scolded him on not recognizing that his friends have different skincare needs than his own.

This is such a personal headcanon, but I think Idia and Ortho makes the music for Sebek’s Dressage Freestyle. Sure he can use classical or some pop song that Neige sang like the RSA students, but Tempest just moves better to the mixes Idia makes. Also, Sebek being a nerd for romance books and Idia being an otaku, would bond over some manga like Frieren. The story of an elf who lives too long and only realizing mortality when the male lead passes away would have the two crying and live-texting when the newest manga chapter comes out.

As a bonus, Malleus and Silver get to experience the brand new feeling of jealousy when Sebek who has never called them older brother before starts calling the others “older brother” or saying things like “the way you treatment makes it feel like you’re my older brother”.

Sebek casually endearing everyome to how he puts his 200% into EVERYTHING

i remember a silbek fic pointing out the possibility that Silver fell easily into magic naturally so he always worked harder to keep up hence the sort of rivalry they have going on even Silver in his 1st ed birthday scene mentions he asks Sebek to get things from high places for him bc he likes how happy and proud about his height he gets

also HELP NOT THE "NON-NUKE DIASOMNIA STUDENT" comment just you watch Leona hes gonna get there eventually it wont be as immediate as em but itll certainly be explosive

i see Sebek and Scarabia and i think of Jamil's robes vignette... tehe squishes them :3

Sebek would be so done with Ace & Deuces bs but power through helping them anyways he is locked in this is just another trial he WILL overcome nothing is going to stop him he is IMMOVABLE OBJECT

I think Lilia would find the whole thing amusing but Malleus is a different story. He’s actively watch an important part of his hoard and heart be taken away, or he views as being taken away. Riddle knows way more about Sebek’s equestrian competitions and Vil is actively giving gifts to him. Sebek just sprawls out on the carpet and sleeps so unguardedly in Scarabia and is constantly eating dinner at the Monstro Lounge. He has sleepovers at Ramshackle or retires to his room early to read a new manga chapter with Idia. It all comes to a head when Leona, smelling weakness, tells Malleus “we’re just taking care of our younger brother. There’s nothing wrong with that.” Diasomnia had a storm for a week and Sebek ended up sleeping at the other dorms before Lilia stepped in. He just doesn’t know how to communicate with Sebek now that Sebek is willing leaving him to do other things. He’s so used to Sebek idol-worshipping him and Sebek is so used to the gap in their status.

Silver is a bit sad since Sebek has always been by his side and he thought he saw all facets of his little brother. Now, he sees the way Sebek laughs with the first years or the way he lights up when he gets invites to things. But he also incredibly happy that Sebek is changing and growing up. They still train together and have Equestrian club together and once a week Sebek makes dinner to show off what he learned from Monstro Lounge.

Sebek and Jamil is such an interesting relationship and I’m playing the current Halloween event right now and the little interactions between them with Leona are my favorite.

I think Sebek is one of those who expects all his friends to do well education-wise. He pushes his friends just as hard as he pushes himself. Study guides, tutoring sessions, study groups before exams- they are all passing. Some better than others but passing nonetheless.

Ace’s hands are covered in far too many scars and calluses from nights that he spends practicing card tricks over and over regardless of how many times he cuts himself because it's better than the nightmares

Deuce has gotten collared many times because he woke up screaming from a nightmare about Riddle’s Overblot

Jack has been locked out of his room multiple times by his roommates whenever he comes back late from a Ramshackle study session. He always sleeps on the floor instead of asking to stay at Ramshackle or for Leona to unlock the door

Epel often grows dizzy and faint from the poison lingering in his veins because of Vil’s poison gas, but refuses to sit down and let his queen see the damage he's done to his precious poison apple

Ortho sometimes gets asked by Idia, usually whenever his brother is extremely sleep-deprived, if he remembers something from their childhood. The childhood that never belonged to Ortho.

Sebek has gotten far too good at using concealer to hide his eyebags from staying up too late because he's terrified of ending back up in one of Malleus’s dreams
