laz is a filmmaker/actor that was in a vice documentary back in 2016 for his one-man showcase vhs tape that circulated in the 90s. he was also an active Doom (and Wolfenstein 3D) modder back in the late 90s and early 2000s, most famous for the WolfenDoom series.

in short (as summarized by and pasted from another reddit post), his mother passed away from dementia around a year ago, and the cops wrongfully accused him of murdering her. he was exonerated by the autopsy results being made public, but in the intervening time, due to false arrest and wrongful imprisonment, he has lost all of his worldly possessions and is now homeless, to say nothing about the loss of his mother a year prior.

the situation is incredibly tragic and the injustice is unbelievably cruel. i'm hoping to share what has happened on here, and will post a link to his gofundme below, if anyone can donate.
