So it's 3 AM. I'm up. I can't explain why, I tend to do this often. I'm in my bedroom. The walk in closet size of room. My entrance involves crossing through the nook of my grandfather. The unlit path screams for ecstasy, as does the old man curled beneath the covers. Suddenly you begin to feel the gateway to the room. Enclosed by raw 2x4, the exposed nails and triangular structure become vacant upon the sight of the window ahead. The view, buffered by a oak and two homes, never fails to glow from the vivid contact of the moon. I need more. Nature is beautiful, don't get me wrong. However, I do need the city. I need the grunge and complexity of situations. The suburbs call for normality and restraint. I need serendipity, and freedom. Detroit, hold on. I'll be coming back real soon.
