Without anyone else from Dream Land around, Susie had been able to take full advantage of their absence. Not only had she named her flavors after various locales in Popstar, but she was also planning to have a certain someone drop by in mascot form.
Various posters around Golden Ward, and advertisements both online and on TV proclaimed the upcoming arrival of the store's new mascot.
Come meet Twinkle☆Popopo on February 14th, with the purchase of a Susie's Scoopsies ice cream and a Susie's Scoopsies Photo Pass!
It should go without saying, the character on the advertisement looked an awful lot like Kirby.
In the week leading up to the grand event, Susie is managing the store as usual. When she hears the automatic doors slide open and a little jingle play, she looks over, happy to greet a new customer.
"Hello, and welcome to Susie's Scoopsies! I'm Susie, and what can I..."
She blinks a few times, rubs off her eyes, and blinks again. That's definitely Kirby standing in front of her, and not whoever she hired to wear a Twinkle☆Popopo costume.
"Kirby?!" she calls out after a beat. "What in the world are you doing here?"
"I mean, obviously, you came here to see me and eat ice cream. But besides that, I mean." (And not necessarily in that order, either.)
