Two tiny unicorn experiments from a couple years ago! I never technically finished them, but kinda liked them as is!
Two more unused photos taken for the shards book project.
Tumblr allows me a lot more space to talk about my outfits so I thought I would break it down here.
Everything I’m wearing was purchased secondhand, mostly vintage:
I finally gave in and read a “Baseball for Beginners” article today (ahead of my first opportunity to watch a whole WPBL game uninterrupted by medical appointments) and the article I stumbled across included the most incredible sentence I have ever read about sport, or possibly anything:

These people are sexual predators.
If you are in WASHINGTON this is not yet law, this initiative will be on the ballot Nov 3 THIS YEAR. VOTE NO. You have the ability to prevent this from becoming law.
Not only is this invasive as fuck, it also serves to discourage/exclude student athletes who are too poor to see a doctor regularly (or have unstable home lives). Who are some of the kids who need sports most.
Who tf is paying for all that genetic screening anyways? I expect it'll cost less than the $600 I paid for my health screening but how is this not an excessive burden on families who happen to have daughters instead of sons who want to play a sport?
Like...options to either pay out of pocket for bloodwork (insurance wont have to pay in many cases, and it is NOT RELIABLE) genetic screening (insurance absolutely will not pay, and also intersex kids exist???) or "genital exam".
This is bad for all girls, especially poor girls and intersex girls, all just to be allowed to discriminate against trans girls.
porn is bad because [christian talking point] and [alt-right study] and [misunderstood neurochemistry] and of course [feature of capitalism]
thank you SO MUCH for reminding me about [feature of patriarchy] and [problem caused by lack of kids' sex ed] random tumblr user in the notes! louder for those in the back!
The adult content warning on this post is really just the icing on the cake

Inspired by my walking past a home built in 1754 in my new neighborhood, which isn't even the oldest building in the city. As someone born and raised in the Western US (where we do have some very old buildings, contrary to popular belief, just not in the middle of most cities), it made me curious!
When was the oldest extant building you can reasonably walk to from your home built?
20th century
19th century
18th century
17th century
16th century
15th century
14th century
13th century
12th century
11th century
10th century or before
(Use your judgement for definitions of "extant," it doesn't have to be used for its original purpose but my intention is a building that could theoretically still be used, not just the remnants of one.)
