Awesome class tonight at @10thplanetroyaloak I can't believe how much I've grown since signing up. I went from barely going to class, to going almost every day. @peterdi10p is the best out there and has helped me in so many different ways. Now I gotta work to not be a crappy bluebelt and start to get a better grasp on this sport. I started Juijitsu 2 years ago at 296 lbs, I was unmotivated and made excuses not to go to the gym. I quit twice because I didn't have any confidence. Even though I loved Juijitsu I was not mentally in it. @peterdi10p kept telling me to come back and train and finally I did. Beginning in January of this year I went as often as I could. I lost weight and was mentally changing for the better. Going back was the best thing I could have done. It's helped me grow and has given me my health back. I was never in it for the belt or the rank. I was in it to get better. Tonight, I was surprised with a Blue belt. I'm still in Soo much shock. I just want to thank my coach @peterdi10p . He is the best. I also want to think my entire team for helping me get better. @10thplanetroyaloak is more than a gym. Juijitsu has changed me for the better. Even though I'm older, slower, and weaker than most people in class, I love coming to class to keep becoming a better version of myself. My teammates and my coach are all amazing people and I wouldn't be anywhere without them constantly making me push myself. Today was no exception. Rolled with a supposed purple belt today. I think he wanted to prove how good he was and picked me. A 40 year old who does Juijitsu as a hobby and to stay in shape. I tapped him 3 times and he started getting pissed. Then because my lockdown hurt him he got super aggressive. Now because he switched from rolling at open mat to trying to rip my head off I am told to take 2 weeks off because my tendon got hurt. He's lucky he didn't break my wrist. If this happens again, it's war. I will show him this old guy has a different game. No more nice guy. I'm pissed. To the dick that did this. This weekend has been like a dream. I got to learn a ton of awesome techniques from one of my favorite grapplers. Friday blew me out of the water. Today's seminar was out of this world.
