I wanted to use what ‘reach’ I may have here to share the Carolina Wildlife Center’s urgent plea for donations. If they are unable to raise $75,000 to cover ongoing and future care of their wildlife patients, the center will have to close July 20th, 2026. The services provided by CWC to the community are incredibly valuable, and without them, many wild animals will suffer without the care they need.

Intricate, lore-related dick joke

Context: Abner had a magical infection called “the blight” that would spread, and eventually kill him, without the interference of his now ex-patron. The scene shown in the flashback panels is the aftermath of a deal he made with his ex-patron to temporarily allow his infection to spread in return for the guaranteed safety of another party member, Marvin. Resolve, the tiefling, showed up much later in the campaign as a mini-boss style antagonist. After both getting their souls stuck in a cursed knife (that became way more important to the plot than our DM intended), he and Abner started a fling. They both got out of the knife, eventually. Abner’s blight got cured, but his skin was left scarred by it.
