A week and a half ago, I had a horrifying psychotic break. It was my first, which in and of itself is surprising, because I am nearly 50 years old.
I thought that there was a hacker communicating with me through the Ijghts on my keyboard. Odd now that I'm relatively lucid again, but completely plausible at the time.
I think I may have upset people I care for deeply because they aren't staying in touch as much as they used to. And to be honest, that angers me. I need my friends more than I've ever needed them, because my happy chemicals got all depleted.
Realistically, I can't expect them to be there for me 24/7 but a little support would be nice. To give some of how I'm feeling lately here are some song lyrics:
I can't ask you to show love. But would it kill you if you did? -Dessa
Baby? Did you forget to take your meds?
one of the saddest things is when someone in your family tells you you would've loved someone who died before you were born. like my mother has told me & my best friend that we would have loved talking to her father. that me & my brothers have the same humor as our late uncle & even look like him. everyone is everywhere & nowhere & here & gone & dying & coming back. it's as though you know them through their shadow or their ghost or your own actions, but you won't ever really know. haunts me, i guess
adults: oh silly children with no responsibilities no real trauma no life experience no worries and yet oh so dramatic about nothing
also adults: oh thank fucking GOD i am not in school anymore, i had another nightmare i was THERE again, i woke up in a cold sweat bc i didn't study for my TEST-there's nothing not anything like the sweet relief of realizing that you actually don't have one and you won't have one in a very very long time, i still remember what the hallways smell like, i graduated years ago but i don't feel safe yet

"save me, substance abuse!" i cry. before you can moralize to me about the dangers of addiction, a noble and powerful steed gallops into the room - my horse whom i have named "substance abuse". you learn an important lesson about making assumptions. i snort a line off its back
Friendly reminder
Fuck Fandom Wiki
I won’t forget the time you merged two queer wikis without their consent and completely changed everything to a point that the wikis staff had no choice in what they had.
You used the slur for intersex folks without any warning on the page dedicated to them.
You called those who use Xenogenders “children who didn’t understand identity”
Fuck you fandom wiki staff. You didn’t help fucking anyone and I’m glad your shitty Exuse of a queer fandom wiki didn’t fucking work.

ive also come to the conclusion that "laziness" is probably the stupidest, most hurtful, least useful, deliberately cruel concept in the world
I don't think I've ever seen anyone benefit from being called lazy but I've seen hundreds of people destroying their bodies and minds trying to avoid being called lazy because at some point someone decided that if someone wasn't miserable then that means they're a bad person
I am by no means an expert but it seems to me “your body does not belong to you” is a major theme of right wing authoritarianism and, interestingly, modern USAmerican thinking. This underpins so much from abortion to forcing kids to hug their relatives. Your body belongs to the state, or God, or your husband, or your boss, or your doctor. Everything from trans and gay liberation to forcing autistic people to look in your eyes to making cashiers stand for no reason. Your body does not belong to you, but taking care of your body is your responsibility and your responsibility alone, and if you fail in some way, you deserve the consequences.
Every big pharmaceutical CEO: ‘Well, we just got our best ad campaign ever.”
"Charles killed my favorite child the other day" may be the single greatest phrase I've ever read in a Dear Santa letter.
