Today is National Remind Your Fellow White Feminists That the 19th Amendment Only Gave White Women the Right to Vote Day

Normally I don't reblog things, but this is utter garbage. In all legal terms African American men could vote since the 15th amendment in 1870. When the 19th amendment was ratified in 1920 it gave every United States citizen age 21 and over the right vote regardless of whatever cultural or biological characteristic you may have.  Now there is the reality of Jim Crow and other such prejudices within the establishment that continue to this day, but this is an issue encompassing race and all genders.
