Through a common known person, we got to know the story of Lulu, an Argentinian from Buenos Aires that lived during childhood in the Patagonia region, before leaving her country for the United States, where she attended school and stayed. Lulu lives now with her daughter in a pleasant and lonely hill in the unincorporated area of Sonoma County that reaches the seashore a few miles west. Lulu has always been interested in simple living, and has been in touch with the small house movement in Sonoma, one of the most vibrant spots of simple living applied to building structures in the United States.  Lulu is friends with Janine Alexander, a builder of tiny houses from the area, and also knows "personalities" of this new trend, such as Jay Shafer, founder of Tumbleweed Tiny House Company and described by blogger Kent Griswold (founder of Tinyhouseblog.com) as "the poster child of tiny houses". We enjoyed Lulu's hospitality and were able to shoot some video (Kirsten will post something soon), as well as this photogallery. Enjoy.
