Hi I'm Alex

As I was watching the new and amazing episode of Sherlock (‘The Six Thatchers’), I couldn’t help but act like Sherlock himself and search for clues. I rewatched the episode and caught some clues.

Clue 1: When John gets off the bus after texting his ‘mistress’ it won’t work out as he’s married (around 1:09:34) there’s a advertisment next to her (1:09:54). Who happens to appear in said advertisment? None other than Toby Jones’ character advertising a business; a hint to the character’s life.

Clue 2: I didn’t catch anything after this until the end credits; after the animation of the man and lady dancing passed the half way point, some of the words (that were in white) had letters that were in red. This intrigued me and I wrote down the letters which were

I proceeded to Google this set of letters and out of all things, Napoleon Bonaparte showed up. “Weird” I said, but quickly my mind made a connection; Napoleon was famous for being short, it just so happens that Toby Jones is a short man as well. “Wow, great connection!” You might say as a sarcastic response but I have more connections/clues.

Clue 3: Napoleon wasn’t only known for his height but for his great commands and his success in battles. In all of his 60 battles he only lost 7, one of those seven was The Battle of Waterloo. Believe it or not this episode made a reference to Waterloo in the one of the synopsis of Sherlock’s cases. Around 7:57 Sherlock has two cases, one of them is called ‘The Circus Torso’ which talks of a body found in Waterloo station. In that same shot another case called 'The Canary Trainer’ it’s mentions a man by the name of Andrew Wilson; little fact, a man by the same name was a captive of Napoleon, perhaps a coincidence but couldn’t leave it out.
