If only your wits matched your looks

What a cussing shame. 

It’s not even a matter of fan service, even though I have seen many people suggest it. Still, Veronica Mars has a unique relationship with their fan base, given the success of the Kickstarter campaign. This doesn’t mean they owe the fans anything in particular. It does mean that the only reason they get to continue their show is because of the fans dedication and generosity, since let’s be real. This Hulu revival would not have happened had it not been for the movie buzz. But again, they don’t owe the fans anything. They could have killed Logan in the movie if they wanted to. But simultaneously, the fans don’t owe them their time either. If people choose not to support a potential season five because of Logan’s death, that’s not disrespectful, it’s their choice. They have chosen the direction in which they wish to take their show, and now it’s up to each of us to decide if we want to follow. However, they are fucking naive if they think the movie buzz created such an expanded demographic aside from the original fan base that the show would be fine in terms of ratings without the hardcore originals.

Not that it matters, it’s not like they would use those ten minutes to put in some cheap-ass plot twist. Other show might, but not Veronica Mars.
