This marks the ends of the year long exchange to Imperial College, London. I can honestly say that this has been the most rewarding 10 months of my life. Not only have I visited amazing places and studied at one of the world's top universities; but met an amazing bunch of people along the way. From those I lived with, shared a kitchen with, studied with, travelled with, that have come visited, and others I met along the way. From the nights out that turned quickly into morning, the evenings sat at a desk writing an essay due the following morning, the days spent chatting and ultimately avoiding all work, and those nights we just don't really remember. I'd like to thank all those who I've met over the past 10 months; be it on the first day in a random corner in Xenia near the lounge, or after meeting through connections in an apartment in Copenhagen. I've learnt so much about myself that I never thought I would. With this also brings on the next exciting 6 months until graduation, hence the flight from Heathrow to Brisbane is bittersweet. In saying that though, I will be back. Not only have I fallen in love with the people, but the city as well. And as such, soon I'll be back complaining about tourists standing on the right of escalators, back to booking flights departing from Luton before remembering where Luton actually is, back to realising that it's peak hour on the Jubilee line and you'll be crushed against the door, back to cheap flights between European cities (and even cheaper living costs), back to buying the £1 Sainsbury's cookies even though you bought a packet yesterday, and back to the city that always has something happening.
