something I love about FWWM is that it's not just "girl is scared = we need to put her in immediate physical or sexual danger with unnecessary gore" for the entire movie. the small stuff in it is so terrifying to me. having pages of your secret diary go missing. such a good and terrifying scene to me + when she says "what were you doing in my room" to her mum. it's exactly the type of thing I've been scared about ever since I was younger, someone rooting around in my diary or devices. and yeah it's more scary with a personification of evil in the shape of your beloved father doing it too so perfect psychological horror in my eyes it felt like losing a friend at the end
