👍 Heartwarming scenes of Arslan and those who left Peshawar to join him continue, I really liked how he clasped everyone’s hands in turn (also Jaswant is yet again the most precious). It’s all surprisingly uplifting, considering the fact that he’s just been banished. But you can’t help but believe that they will be able to reach their total, especially when they start their countdown in such good spirits! Team Arslan is feeling good, therefore I feel good.

👍 Farangis calling out Narsus on how he handles Alfarid’s feelings for him (and I mean, she’s right… if he’s not interested, he owes her at least one serious conversation about it to let her know). She’s not telling him to jump right in to a relationship with her (at least that’s not quite how I read it here, though who knows how Tanaka intended that line originally), she’s just pointing out that Alfarid’s clear feelings deserve to be taken seriously, and it’s not fair for him to be so avoidant while she’s planning their future. His refusal to shut it down will be read by her (rightly or wrongly) as tacit acceptance of her feelings.

A necklace… Forgive me for not noticing if he’s worn this before? I wonder whether it’s a seal? Or just decorative?
