One Song Glory

Don’t worry, boo — ain’t no one talking ‘bout you busting your face open, unless you do. I love Ridiculousness, but I really don’t pay enough attention to remember something like that; I get it, though — nobody loves their embarrassing moments aired to the whole world, but how I see it: makes you that much more relatable, right? All a part of life. The good, the bad, the ugly.

“You busted your face and there’s video footage of it somewhere? Now this I’ve got to see. I used to watch Ridiculousness all of the time, but I guess I wasn’t watching it enough if I didn’t catch that episode. I’ll seek it out, though. Something tells me that it’s gonna be worth the effort.”

“The difference between a fire and an earth, you mean? Well, you earths are more grounded, more set in your ways, paving your paths in subtle domination for the most part. Us fires are more showy, ever evolving like flames themselves. Whether that’s for the good or bad depends. We can either flame up and light the way for some people, keep them warm, or we can completely burn a bridge and consume everything in our paths. It’s a slippery slope.”

Smooth answer, very smooth. Are you trying to make me blush? Because it’s absolutely working. No backing out now, you said it’s happening so it one hundred percent is.

“The list of what a fire sign doesn’t have would be shorter. And, yeah, you’ve got a good sign. I mean, it could be worse.”

“Oooh, a Taurus. We’ll get along just fine, then. Earth signs are some of the best people. That’d be you, by the way. Like my hair, I’m a fire sign.”

“If you tell me your birthday, I can help you figure it out. You don’t want to walk around not knowing, do you? I wouldn’t.”

“You know, I’m not too picky about titles but if you want to call me that I wouldn’t deny you of that pleasure. You can never go wrong with cookies and cake. Perfect! I’m so happy to hear that!”

I could totally write a movie script now that I think about it… Maybe adapt one of the million books I’ve read. I guess I just give off smart vibes for some reason but I’m definitely not. Just like reading which I guess translates you know? You’ve got multi-talents and I’m just like, what lazy people hobbies can I pick up.

It is what it is — being a parent comes with coolness restrictions. It’ll last a year or two, depending on how lucky you are, and once she’s out of that? You’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel!         Did I just ‘dude’ you? Of course I did. I could always go with ‘buddy’ or ‘man’ instead, if you preferred. They’re terms of endearment, Kells. I say it with love.
