aahh thank you! i’m still learning but i try doing figure drawings as a warm up before i draw anything for the day! 

my go to place for poses are either line-of-action or new masters academy!

i think a basic understanding of anatomy and the body is the most important thing to know when starting off, and it really helped me when i began incorporating figure drawing into my warm ups!!

just some general placement tips:

1. the eyes are typically in the very center of the head

2. the nose usually ends in the mid point between the eyebrows and the chin

3. the bottom of the lips end at the mid point between the end of the nose and the chin

4. the elbow bend usually is aligned with the belly button, this varies if the person has a long torso

5. the crotch ends at the mid point of the entire height, again this varies if the person has long legs or torso
