Reminiscence of something that never was there.

Mafuyu folds up the paper in her hands, placing it in her cardigan pocket. "Alright, I think I have a plan. Otori-san, you mentioned how you know how to get around here better than you think you should, right? Do you think you can get us to the roof undetected?"

“Forgetting…” An suddenly jolts backwards, raising a hand to her forehead. “Gh — Headache, don’t mind it!

Emu tried to think. Tried to understand what was going on. Then the weird dream that she had after passing out came back, and she muttered something.

Mafuyu is too focused on trying to drown out the voice in her head to register much else, but she does nod to "forgetting".

someone enters the rooftop, panting and out of breath from running. they look up, seeing the crowd of people who had gathered there. it's a lot more than expected— oh well, someone said they might know something…?

[Haruka turns to look at the new entrant, eyes widening in surprise.] "Y-you too, Tenma-san...?" [She looks around their little group once more.] "Okay, I think that would confirm for sure that we have been forgetting, them... But how do we even start to remember? I mean, do any of us have any sort of leads on these people...? I don't think I have anything to go off of myself, but maybe if you all have suggestions, it could ring a bell..."

A few of us have mentioned dreams. I feel like that might be the best lead we have, since they seem to occur repeatedly and end the same exact way. They almost appear…but disappear as soon as we wake up. So, something subconscious is aware of these people, but how do we keep that memory…well, intact?

“Huh, fair question, Hinomori. I’m honestly not too sure myself, but I think it’s got to do with the one thing that sticks with us when we have these. Like… Otori, the guy you can’t remember the face of talks about being a star! And in mine, it’s that voice I hear that I never end up recognising. The one that…”

Emu slid down the wall she was leaning on, before muttering to herself. And glancing at Saki.

"Yeah- *hack* I'm alright, Shiraishi, it's just the voices again... ow..." Her voice comes out raspy as she rubs her aching throat. She soon turns her gaze to Saki, anticipating her response to Emu's question.

saki walks in as the others spoke, closing the door behind her. she brings her hand to her chin, humming in thought.

[Haruka moves hesitantly towards the girls, worry clear on her face.] "Are you alright? I- Is this really a good idea, if it hurts us all so much...?" [She pauses for a moment, the glowing orange figure shimmering faintly in her mind.] "I don't have as much to go off as you all, I- I just can't recall... her voice, her face are all a blur."

[Shizuku lets out a yelp, but helps Haruka keep her balance by supporting her side. She can’t help but slightly squint, though. This conversation was also making her a little woozy by the second.]

“Huh, yeah… I guess it does feel like that sometimes.” An briefly shakes her head, seemingly attempting to stabilise after her headache. “Sounds a bit like one of those mind-control-conspiracy theories, doesn’t it? How’d something like this even work?”

Gently hitting her head, she tried to think. Think past the pain. Think of ANYTHING.

"...maybe,"

[Haruka looks over at Saki, mirroring their own nervous expression. After a few moments, she speaks again, slowly.] "Well, I- I guess we should try and look into these, or our connections then...? Is there anyone else who might be having these headaches, that we could ask...?"

Suddenly... A bang through the rooftop's door, and Airi busts on through, heavily breathing.

Airi?!

An is still slightly thrown off by Airi’s entrance, she chooses to send her a small wave as acknowledgment before addressing Shizuku. “I guess it does— Well, it clearly isn’t that, but that doesn’t matter.” Briefly, she pauses, before turning to Airi, “Wait, Momoi, you said this was ‘worth getting involved in’?”

Emu blinked, eyes shakily looking up at Airi.

"..."

"airi—?! you too...?"

"Y-yes, what do you mean, Momoi-san?" [Haruka steps towards her slightly, but she's clearly still very hesitant and divided.] "We need all the information we can get right now..."

I constantly get these EXTREME headaches, that are triggered by... Well, a few words, but I only figured they must be connected to something! It's... Well, I'm...

her head was splitting. who do they all know but forgot? an easier asked than answered question.
