It has been FOREVER since I posted on here.

Tons and tons of things have happened. I sang a lead role in the school opera production, I had a beautiful grad recital, and I figured out my plans for next year. 

I’m taking a year off and studying with a fabulous soprano who teaches at my school. I’ve been taking lessons with her for about three weeks. A LOT to learn (basically learning to take pressure off the voice box and not “hardening” my sound), but she thinks I’m a coloratura, which is exciting and absolutely terrifying. A lot to learn about my voice and myself.

My convocation is June 8th, where I’ll finally get that stupid piece of paper I’ve slaved over for four years (and for which my parents have paid thousands of dollars...).

I’m also going to start teaching private lessons for the first time come September - I was hired by a private bilingual school as their voice teacher.

Yes, a lot has happened. Lots of endings, but even more beginnings, I think. The beginning of a fabulous journey to find my voice, to start an adventure as a teacher of singing, and no more essays (for now)!
