is anyone else a little bothered by how everyone is calling argentina favored and aggressive and deserved to be taken down a peg when they were playing against the country that colonized them. you dont have to like messi or root for them but i think some of y’all are secretly racist

just to be clear ik from feedback that they sometimes don’t consider themselves latino or treat other south american countries badly. i am not saying they are unproblematic. but it is not the same thing as a european country whose wealth came from conquering and killing the indigenous peoples who are always right and play fair apparantly

we're maybe bad people when it's about another latinamerican country (mostly joking) but argentina is still a culture-diverse third world country, we just don't show that much as we should... oh yeah and a lot of us hate zionists and our president
