Falling in love with travel and not being able to sustain such a lifestyle is heartbreaking. But there are things that hurt your heart more than the price of airfare. Distance. It’s the gap between people you once knew that hurts the most.

Some people think that traveling alone is the scariest thing in the world. But with travelers, I think it’s the exact opposite. Meeting people along the way SUCKS. Not because they suck, they’re actually the best! They saved your lonely little butt from eating dinner alone in a foreign place. But knowing your time together is limited is the part that 100% totally SUCKSSS. You meet people you really get on with but when that boarding pass is printed, you have no idea when you’ll see them next.

There is no greater pain than loving people so far away and not being able to be together because of the miles and miles between you. With every Instagram post and Facebook update they post, you’re visually transported to another country and want nothing more than to be able to jump on a plane and travel there yourself.

Goodbyes never get any easier but as travelers, it seems like it’s all we do. Saying goodbye to these beautiful places we’ve seen is so hard but the worst part is saying goodbye to the most amazing people who made us appreciate it that much more.
