Do you ever feel like you miss out on life, because you are not able to socialize the way most people do?

Kafka said “all the love in the world is useless when there is total lack of understanding” and I think more people need to understand that

Stop going back and forth with people. Stop wasting your precious energy on people, conversations, arguments, and exchanges that aren't worth it. What you choose to focus on amplifies, so if you choose to engage with the miserable and mentally unstable, you will bring misery and instability into your life. Use your energy to foster all things that are good, that make you feel more energized, conversations that you can learn and growth from instead, and if/when someone tries to get you out of character simply remove yourself from that situation, no explanations needed. Protect your energy, don't allow others access to you so easily.

I’ll probably spend the rest of my life with a vague underlying sense of melancholy and loneliness that comes from not being loved properly as a child so that’s fun
