âYeah, but when youâre famous, then you canât go out in disguise because everyoneâll still recognize it. Itâs basically TMZ bait,â Buzz replied with some nonchalance, knitting his brow. He sighed deeply, wrinkling up his nose. âOh, I donât need no closure. No one ever gets closure, and she donât owe me nothing. I just want her to see what sheâs missinâ out on, sâall. Come on. Weâre just two handsome dudes doinâ our shopping together. Weâre gonna cook later and be cute about it, and sheâs gonna hate that weâre not making her any spaghetti.â With this, he took Colin by the arm, gently leading him along and letting out a laugh of his own. âYou always know how to make me laugh, darling,â he cooed. âOh! Hey, Marta. I almost didnât recognize you there. Did you just get back? Youâre probably pretty jet-lagged. Time difference. Australia and everything, you know. Have you met Colin? Colin, this is Marta. Marta, this is Colin. Weâre justâŚyou know, grabbing groceries.â The woman made an effort to be polite, muttering hellos, but she was evidently somewhat embarrassed at having run into Buzz like this. âWell, we wonât bother you or nothing. We gotta eat dinner, and this one has a night shift. Saving lives every day, I tell you. Iâm proud of him. Good seeinâ you, though. Get home safe. I hope you can catch some Zâs on the plane.â Humming, he led Colin triumphantly away, disappearing down the condiment aisle at his side. âOh, we got her. We totally got her.â
âSo you wanna do it before you get all big and famous?â He arched an eyebrow, forming a genuine smile as well. Buzz always seemed to amuse Colin and he couldnât help but feel happy. âThat is true. I canât believe she would lie to you and yeah, like, who wouldnât want to date you, you know? You seem like a great guy. Right, spaghetti which I hope youâre serious about because I could eat.â He told the other man. As soon as they were talking to Buzzâs ex, the man felt awkward and felt his cheeks heating up. âHi Marta. Yeah, this guy really has to eat after our days.â He playfully pat the otherâs stomach before shaking his head, trying to really sell it for the other. Soon they were in another aisle and away from the other, which did comfort Colin because he was getting seriously nervous there. âWhew. I think we really sold it. It was an honor being your fake boyfriend. Now I hope you will get me some real spaghetti. Iâll even cook it.â
