What got you so attached to Viktoria?
I love your Viktoria so much and I appreciate every work you publish. There isn't enough JayViktoria content and you're the only author consistently publishing fics of Vikki. Is there any reason to why you're so hooked?
Hiii! ๐ฅฐ
So, fun fact. I do enjoy many of my favs in genderbent fics. My longest DC fics had a fem!Tim Drake focus, but I was wary about doing more with her. I also enjoy fem!Lex Luthor, a very niche concept.
Similarly, my favorite Starscream (Transformers) series is a fem!Star one. And my favorite fic ever is tfem Starscream becoming friends with a gay Ratchet.
In a way, I have always enjoyed the explorations of gender for many characters. When I watched arcane I connected instantly with Viktor and other zaunite characters such as Jinx and Silco. As other times, I couldn't help to imagine what Viktoria would be like. And I fell in love with her.
(Similarly, Dmitri started as an exploration. And then he grew more and more, to the point where he became his own character).
I think something that encouraged me and keeps me decided is that, unlike Tim Drake or Starscream, there aren't other people writing explorations of their gender under the concept of what their lives would be like as women. Viktoria is *rare*, and even rarer if we wish to see a discussion of what Viktoria with the usual cast is like.
In other words, I love Viktoria. And it was exactly the lack of work and art with her what pushed me to keep sharing my ideas about her. If she were as common as Timothea Drake, perhaps I would not be so obsessed.
I am forever glad that other people like Viktoria. She means a lot to me, as I have written not only her struggles but conflicts overlooked in the series through her eyes. Thanks to Viktoria is that my Dmitri came to life, and now I enjoy talking about them openly.
Thank you, anon! โค๏ธโจ๏ธ
